Bloodhound57 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Are you communicating with the FAC? If so, make sure that you uncage. ____________________________________________________ PC: ASROCK Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel i7 8700K | GeForce 2080TI | 32GB GeSkill 3200 RAM | GeForce 2080TI | 500GB Samsung 850 EVO M.2 | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 ____________________________________________________ FLIGHT STUFF: Rift S | Warthog Base | Virpil Base | Hornet Grip | A-10 Grip | Cougar Grip | Virpil F-14 Grip | Cougar MFD's | A-10C UFC | Saitek Flight Panels | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals

Lithion Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 i still have MAV indication crossed on ddi also if missile is uncaged and i assigned laser code and 30 sec warm up elapsed..... Can you include pictures or better yet, some footage of your HUD, DDI, or a vid on you going through setting up the mav/JTAC interaction? It's hard for me to judge whether it's due to the JTAC not being in type 2, your armament being SAFE'd, laser code just set to 1 mav or all.. Even including your procedure in text format helps tremendously in detecting errors. Just throwing a single sentence on here 'stuff don't work' doesn't help people to help you :) give us more info, and we'll probably be able to fix whatever's going on  T.16000m HOTAS + Pedals || TrackIR5 || Win10 64bit || 120+500GB SSD, 1TB HDD || i5 4440 @3.3GHz || 16GB RAM @ 1600MHz || GTX1070 G1 || FCIII, L39ZA, AJS-37, Normandy '44, Persian Gulf, Channel F/A-18C, Bf-109 K-4, WW2 Asset Pack, CA, P-47, F-16

I presume your nose was pointing in the direction of the target when you uncaged. Did you have all missiles set to 1688? Did the JTAC say "Laser on. Lasing"? Ramsay Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 You need to press twice on the left ddi stores page on the MAV, press it twice and then uncage :=) No, that won't remove the crossed MAV indications. The cross clears when the LMAV sensor acquires/locks the laser spot. With A/G mode selected, pressing MAV twice on the stores page brings up the LMAV sight on the DDI but doesn't clear the crossed MAV indications on the DDI and HUD. I don't know how it works IRL but that is how it is working in DCS Open Beta 2.5.3.23954 i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

Is this what you are seeing ? exactly, i see as left picture, mav is crossed....seems it does not see laser tracking from jtac........
raelias Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 exactly, i see as left picture, mav is crossed....seems it does not see laser tracking from jtac........ The only option i think of is that the code is wrong, did you change the code of your mavs for the same as the JTAC? Madbrood Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Silly question - have you asked the JTAC to actually lase the target, ie the "LASER ON" comms option? i7-4770k | EVGA GTX 980 SC | 16GB DDR3 | TrackIR 5, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals DCS: F-16C, F/A-18C, F-14A/B, AV-8B, FC3, A-10C, Black Shark II, UH-1H, F-86F, MiG-21bis, Mirage 2000C, AJS-37, F-5E :pilotfly:
Ramsay Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) exactly, i see as left picture, mav is crossed....seems it does not see laser tracking from jtac........ The JTAC sequence for the Quick Start training mission "Caucasus FA-18C AGM-65E Maverick Practice" is: (Radio to JTAC frequency 131.000 MHz) • Player: JTAC - finger11, Check-in 30min, what do you have for us. • JTAC (Finger11): Enfield 1-1, this is finger 1-1, type 2 in effect. Advise when ready for 9-line • Player: Ready to copy • JTAC (Finger11): line is as follows 1, 2, 3 N/A [4. Elevation: ]3 feet MSL [5. Target: ]APC [6. Coordinates: ]GG176760 [7. ]Marked by laser, 1688 <----- *** NOTE: IF THE JTAC SAYS No mark, he isn't going to lase the target *** [8. Friendlies: ]northeast 450 meters, troops in contact [9. ]Egress east • JTAC (Finger11): advise when ready for remarks and further talk-on • Player: Ready to copy remarks • JTAC (Finger11): request AGM-65E partly cloudy sky, cloud base 13000 feet MSL • Player: 9-line read back • JTAC (Finger11): readback correct • JTAC (Finger11): report IP INBOUND • Player: IP INBOUND • JTAC (Finger11): Enfield 1-1, CONTINUE • Player: Laser ON • JTAC (Finger11): Lasing (Uncage LMAV to spot lase) • Player: Spot • Player: IN from the xxx • JTAC(Finger11): 'Cleared HOT!' (fire LMAV when in range and break off) • JTAC(Finger11): Enfield 1-1, target destroyed sequence then repeats - • JTAC (Finger11): Enfield 1-1, this is finger 1-1, type 2 in effect. Advise when ready for 9-line ... etc. Are you doing something similar ? It'd be helpful if you posted a track, showing the point at which you have difficulty acquiring the laser.
