webweaver40 Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I was hoping this was going to be fixed in the latest patch, but it wasn't so I'll report it now. I'll have the left mfcd set to radar, but if I choose A/A or A/G mode, it changes that mfcd to the stores page. HOpe this will be fixed soon.

Nealius Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 If that's normal behavior, where should the EW page go? AMPCD? The analog RWR is too small and too far out of sight to use.
webweaver40 Posted December 21, 2018 Author Posted December 21, 2018 Normal behavior on the Hornet. Please tell me it isn't so! This can't be normal behavior. We no longer have the option to keep radar and ew on the top mfds during engagements?

Probably it is assumed that you will change to A/A mode before you are engaged, with time in a safe place to check your stores then change it to EW (or put EW on the HUD). I also find it annoying, but if it's realistic then that's how it should be.
Nealius Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 That must explain why I see so many cockpit pics of Hornets cruising around in A/A mode even without any missiles loaded.
ChuckJäger Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 If that's normal behavior, where should the EW page go? AMPCD? The analog RWR is too small and too far out of sight to use. Right DDI should alternate between RDR and EW. EW should be overlayed on the HUD though, I rarely go back to the EW screen unless I need to clarify something. I could be wrong about this but it has always worked for me. Nealius Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 HUD EW doesn't give enough direction information. If a symbol is off to the left of the HUD, it could be anywhere between my 11 o'clock and 7 o'clock.
