flipGAF Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 So I am currently patiently waiting for the stable version to get the bullseye function :D and I’m currently looking at a few other issues, have you gents got an answer to that yet. : 1. have you been able to bind azimuth and range selection of the radar to your HOTAS independent of the right or left DDI? 2. once the azimuth Scan has been shrunk, are you able to slew it left and right? Thanks! Der Wille entscheidet
Beamscanner Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 1. no 2. IRL, yes. It involves the depression of the TDC when not over a brick or track file, but i dont recall how long. In DCS, not yet.
wilbur81 Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 1. have you been able to bind azimuth and range selection of the radar to your HOTAS independent of the right or left DDI? Yes, I bound the two DDI pushbuttons (Arrow up and arrow down) to my hotas. If the radar's on the Right DDI, I thumb up or down to increase or decrease range. If the radar's on the Left DDI, I use my "SHIFT" modifier on the stick to thumb up and down the same switch for the same effect. This works great as the range arrows for the radar are always assigned to the same two DDI buttons. It is beyond me why the real life Hornet doesn't have this on the actual HOTAS?!? Hope that helps. (I use a Logitech X-56 throttle and the TM Warthog Stick). i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC
Moafuleum Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 You actually don't need this as you can slew the TDC over the range arrows and increase/decrease it by pressing TDC over this very arrows. Of course it is more convenient to have dedicated buttons for this but still, you don't need to take yohr hands off the HOTAS
flipGAF Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 Thank you all for your replies!!! @wilbur81: could you share the names of the Buttons in the controls section of the Settings? Thanks a million in advance! Der Wille entscheidet

Positrons95 Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Slewing the TD brackets out of the top/buttom boundaries of the radar square, then back in will increase/decrease range.

Thanks a million in advance! For the right DDI in the Hornet: "Right MDI PB 11" for range increase. "Right MDI PC 12" for range decrease. Swap "Right" for "Left" if you are utilizing the left DDI> i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC

Goa Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 I am using the buttons on my warthod joystick for moving the TDC instead of the axis on the throttle but compared for example to the f15C the movement of TDC is quite slow. Is there a way to increase the speed of the TDC to have is same as the F15C? Thank you! Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk I've got my curves fast too...the problem came in, particularly, when the TDC was at the opposite end of the display that I needed to 'exit-enter': i.e - I want to decrease range...but the TDC is in the top left corner. Coming from other aircraft that have a HOTAS function, I'm just in need of a button press. :-) On a related note, I'm a little surprised by some of the hype surrounding the new TM: Hornet stick in development: which has too few buttons and hats on the stick when compared to the Warthog and X-55/56 that I use. i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC

Is there a way to increase the speed of the TDC to have is same as the F15C? Thank you! Several have noticed and requested this, which would be a GREAT feature. The F-15C TDC (assigned to buttons) speed is perfect. (Consequently, the F-15 TDC assigned to axis' is way too fast :-)). Not everybody has a HOTAS that can accommodate axis assignments for such a function, so a faster motion when assigned to buttons would be nice for sure. i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC
wilbur81 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 thank you!!!!:book: For sure. By the way, I've also got radar bar scan and azimuth mapped to my HOTAS as well through the very same method. Out-designing Boeing. :-) i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC

(I use a Logitech X-56 throttle and the TM Warthog Stick). usually you can use tdc to increase and decrease radar or hsd (don’t know if the hornet hsi can di that) range....in the hornet you just go up (or down) with the dcs and then backwards and the range should increase. Also you can use the tdc depress to click on a label to use that function. what i don’t understand is why the real hornet have not a button on the hotas for changing mfd pages like for example the dms on the f16 or the coolie hat in the a10 R7-5800X3D 64GB RTX-4090 LG-38GN950 N/A Moza AB9 FFB Base + Moza MH-16 Grip, VKB Stecs Max, VKB T-Rudder MKV, Razer Tartarus V2 Secrets Lab Tytan, Monstertech ChairMounts
