Hi guys, a question?

Someone has low fps micro stuttering when he does a personalized mission with everything at max? that is to say combat fighters max, sam max, in a few words both enemies and allies in maximum

FPS slumps only occur when I pass through clouds in dense cloud weather

And the micro stuttering with FPS drops rolling on track

I clarify that I do not mean the graphic configuration, I mean when you select the number of enemies and allies in MAX in the custom missions

EDIT: And the mirrors, when the mirrors are activated, the fps go down drastically, I guess we need to optimize those small details

Thank you for your answers

I get a good 60 FPS but still have micro stutters. Running all max settings in 2160p

I was referring to the number of enemies, not the graphic configuration, to me the simulator is going to 60 fps solid to 1920x1080, but I mean when there are many enemies on the screen in custom missions, that is ... when you put the amount d Enemies and allies in maximum

If you're trying to run missions with a lot of objects in them, then you'll most likely have to increase your RAM to 32 gigs or remove some objects from the mission.

I've noticed this a lot with the battle.miz mission for the Ka-50, which has a huge number of both allied and enemy ground units zipping around busting caps at each other like a "ground furball".

Neither my CPU or graphics card are at full load, but the framerates stink and there's lots of hitching :)

It also doesn't use up anywhere near all of my VRAM (11GB) or system RAM (16GB).

So, it's probably a simulation engine limitation, or a DirectX11 limitation.

check here, where got stuttering? I think your problem was the GTX 1060, just upgrade the GPU to 1070+, please don't ask the game developer to de-grade the game graphics quality, you just need to lower the graphics setting.

To me this is normal. The more stuff going on the more powerful PC needed for it to work. Since I have never had a 'best there is right now gaming PC' I am always adjusting things to see what hurts fps the most (so I cut that back) or what I can set higher w/o much fps effect.

I'm not talking about the graphics, to me with the preset the 1080 high works at 60 fps with no problem, I'm talking about when you create a custom mission and select the maximum number of enemies and allies

I would then honestly try more RAM. Otherwise you force your system to swap off to harddrive ( SSD or HDD, whatever you defined ) and THAT will cause your throughput to stutter.

If you can, try to get 16 more gigs and give it a try. Maybe a friend can lend you his modules etc.. or get from local shop with "can I return them if it wont help ?" question asked.

ED states that heavy missions should use more than 16GB. We cannot rule that statement out until you tested it.

Even if you have 32 GB DCS doesn't use it efficiently. If I fire up a mission and don't do anything my RAM usage sits at around 12 GB.

Try cycling through all of the airbases on whatever map you're on with the F11 view. That will load tons of stuff into memory and your RAM usage will go up significantly. This reduces stuttering. See my thread in this sub-forum "Static weather causes stuttering".

I proved it with testing. F11 actually works. Why the game doesn't do this automatically I don't know. Preload radius doesn't appear to do anything with physical memory. I believe it loads into virtual memory (pagefile) ?? Either way you still get stuttering with it. Cycling F11 view actually works though.
