So this isn't a "wish" or asking if one will ever be made, but I'm curious if an A model or early export B model might be possible with the full clickable cockpit? I understand the political factors at play and I'm sure there will be a lot of opinions but I'm hoping to hear from someone with ED if its a "definitely no" or a "maybe". I think I've read somethings that make it sound a little ambiguous.

Some Mig-35 export variant (MiG-29M) would be swell.

I mean, who wouldn't want something like that in DCS:

We can consider anything other than the original model or original export model impossible. And in all likelihood those probably are too, but just maybe not...

Edit: Also I made this topic here and not in the wishlist because the point is to talk about feasibility not I want X aircraft.

Yup. I don't think its gonna get any better than that either. Currently there are no plans for "modern" red air, beyond the non-clicky FC3 planes. The most modern currently is the mig21, the mig19 will be released "soon". And Razbam has plans to do the mig23MLA at some point.

Actually given the enviroment around it, I think it would be more effective to try to lobby get some 60's or 70's Gen2/3 blue air since its more doable politically. F4E (on hold), F104? F100? F105? F-8? Lightining?

I agree, I find that era more interesting to fly anyway. Unfortunately Gen4 Blurfor seems to be the most profitable for ED so that's what were going to get regardless of available Redfor.

Any MiG-29 would be an instant buy for me. At any (reasonable) price.

But I guess it won't be in the near future.

All we can do is speculate why, as there are even civilian MiG-29A's flying in the USA, so theoretically everything should be available.

Oh well...

The ancient and widely exported, already in NATO hands A/G versions could happen, as we got the Hind in dev, and a MiG-23 version that immediately precedes the first 29s (they share a lot of core systems and functionality, afaik). As with anything like this, it's hard to say. If it's possible to do, it's likely it eventually will be done.

The Russians are hard to work with, that's a fact, and there is a troublesome export law that has been cited several times. ED have also said RedFor doesn't sell as well, considering they cost just as much to make as the BluFor stuff. I expect the Hind and Flogger will be testbeds of a sort, if they sell well odds of getting more RedFor planes goes up, at least until they start running into restrictions. If they bomb, we probably will not see any more for a while.

I would love a full on mig (or a su 27) just for the sake of having a fully clickable red side, so I'd have a ton of people to fly against! lol

I often see the servers with like 25 blue and 7 red if that lol
