ctd01 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Hi guys. Sry for a dumb question, but I ask it anyway. I want to give my wife i ride in the backseat. :joystick: Yes, bring on you jokes. :D Just so she can go up with me and look around in our second Oculus installed on our living room computer. While I do the flying from my man cave computer. :pilotfly: This demand we buy a second license, right? Any special things to think of? Is it possible just having her in the backseat, not doing anything more than looking out the window? Best regards Michael
kengou Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Yes, you need to buy two licenses for you both to play together. If she is in the backseat, you won't have Jester, so many features like Navigation or Radar won't be operated. But if you want to just joyride I guess that won't be a big deal? Strikeeagle345 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 you would probably need to do a hot start unless she knows how to RIO cockpit. Maestre Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Thanks for the replies. Hot start it is. :-) M So,gonna buy a second license?
ctd01 Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 I don't know yet. I don't expect she wants to learn all the RIO-stuff. Maybe a little waste of Money in that case. But, we'll see. I begin with one and try to learn how to fly it. Then we decide. M
Banzaiib Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 You can blow $80 on a date, EASY, and spend less time together than you will just farting around with the F-14... i say buy the 2nd license (if you have the cash, of course)! And you can just loan it to friends later so they can get a taste of DCS if she doesn't like it... 100% worth it.

Best regards Michael Yes, buy the two pack and create a second account to bind the second key to (I now have one ED account with only the F14 on it). I have exactly the same plans. Wife will be VR in the back seat on the upstairs computer while I pilot downstairs with trackIR on the projector. I'm also going to get my daughter into DCS when she is old enough, so this investment is long term :)
FragBum Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Maybe someone can confirm but you may need a second user account so you can both access a MP server. Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.
