Man, only if I had seen this sooner I wouldn't have had begged my father 47 times now this morning to not buy it! :(

Oh wow, you're actually reading this. Okay.

It was a joke. ;)

Did you get it in the end ?

No need. We have Mavericks. But of course. If you need more gbus we can be of assistance. Since you can only carry four of them.

Yes. But we can carry them for more than 30min :D

Not if you get shot down by sams. But don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with HARMs. :)

This was a standing joke on the Constipation's Westpac '85 (first -18 deployment). They have just enough gas to start up, sit idle for twenty minutes while they wait for the cat, get into the air, turn around quick and land. If they bolter (or want to see what the escorts look like) they need to tank...

Of course that wasn't true...they could look at the plane guard while they lined up for the landing, so at least one escort was in view.

If you need them lobbed at 20nm, feel free to call us rainbowdashwink.png

Oh, and by the way, we could lase those Mavericks in for you if you need more range as well dealwithit.png

Literally, let's work together rainbowdashwink.png

BTW I've been flying the Hornet for 30 minutes on full burner without bags. You just have to be high enough rainbowdashwink.png

I'm already dedicated to flying the Hornet and I don't want to wander off too much. I'll be buying the Tomcat eventually though.

Hornet, which I love, is at most 20% complete. Go enjoy an aircraft which is only missing a TARPS pod

Same here. Not going to buy it. More than enough to do with the F-18, A-10 (when it hopefully will have the old sound back) etc... And also because of that worn-out, almost damaged cockpit, for the sake of "realism".

If you think the Hornet is only 20% complete, you are out of your mind. It's far more complete than that. They also acknowledge where they are heading, what's not in (yet) and what they do about things they literally have to guess at for obvious reasons (or what/why they obfuscate some things as well).

It's fine to criticize, but this over-dramatic hyperbole doesn't advance any points and serves only to weakly attack something that you aren't exactly aware of yourself.

That's exactly what I thought, when I first saw the F-14 cockpit. That's not worn-out, that's horrible. To each their own, but I personally don't like worn-out cockpits. It's just like a car. If I buy a new one, I don't want a pile of scrap. :(

EXACTLY MY POINT! And by the way, the opinion of many others, as

CLEARLY proves the words of praise of many for the hard work I have done on the F-18 cockpit.
