Just to ask if it's normal for the HUD to be jerky when I play VR?

Indeed without VR the HUD is fluid.

On the other hand someone could tell me how to assign a key to the "launch bar" while nothing in the commands refers to this thing.

The "catapult hook up" is only usable once. If we take off and then we land back we can no longer use the command it no longer responds.

Finally if we assign a key to switch to the RIO and another to switch to the pilot we can go to the RIO but we can not return to the pilot.

Thank you in advance if there is an answer.

Rig:windows 7 ,intel 4.2 ghz,35 g ram,nvidia 1080 Gtx,warthog,all up to date but windows,because no support anymore to seven.

The hud has a low frame rate irl. I assume that is the jerk that you mean.

If you're taxiing to the catapult, you have to get really close to it, switch strut to kneel and the 14 will lower itself and then automatically lower the launch bar. Then, you press "u" to hook up. Again, you have to get real close to the catapult unlike the Hornet.

Yeah I use the F2 view to see if I'm close. IRL of course there would be a dude walking you to it... So thats my crutch till we get said dude.

Also, yes the F14 hud shouldn't really be smooth.

Yes, and remember the front gear is underneath your seat, so I use those circle things on the ground to help get close enough to the catapult. I use cat3 a lot, so there's a circle thing parallel to the catapult that I use to line up so I dont have to use the F2 view.

Once your in the RIO position, your under his key commands, they're separate. Find the same keys and bind them to the same buttons, than no more troubles.

Just tried my Vive Pro with motion smoothing on, and I did not experience any jerkiness. My overall experience is similar to the F/A-18 in terms of framerates. In cockpit view, the fps tanks when there are too many objects nearby--down to 23 fps when taxiing through multiple parked jets in the Takeoff Tutorial.

Once I'm up in the air it's pretty much 45 fps, it can go lower in certain areas if I have the mirrors on. External view can go up to 90 if there is nothing but the sky and clouds. My guess is the fps will be a bit worse in Persian Gulf if past experiences hold true with other aircrafts.

My setting is PD 1.4, shadows flat, heatblur off, texture/terrain/water high, visibility medium, MSAA 2x. The instrument panels are mostly fine visually, but side consoles legibility are crap.

I haven't done any extensive testing yet, since for now I prefer to fly with TrackIR for high framerate with cranked up graphics settings.

On the left vertical console just left of the gear lever is a switch labeled "STRUT". Hold it down and the Cat will kneel, you can see it lower, when looking out the canopy. Then just hit U to hook up like in the Hornet and off you go.

Wayz Out

Thanks "A101Wayz"

I found already this switch.

However my question is how to bind it?because noway to affect a joystick key.

Have to use mouse.

Anyway i manage it like that,i mean just if a bind will exist it will be more easy.
