Controls broken since todays update

Hey fellow pilots.

Strange thing, since the update minutes ago i have only stick input. I don't have functions on my joystick buttons nor keyboard. I can access the chat in multiplayer but thats it. Even my !ESC-KEY! doesn't work. I also tried in single player, same issue, stick input and nothing anymore.

 

U guys have same issues?

Any help on the problem would be reeeally nice...

 

 

It's so frustrating they have to break something with every update :(

I had the same happen to myself a couple of updates ago, if a went straight into a mission i had no control over the plane, the keyboard did not respond either, had to use task manager to shut down DCS.

Now i go to the controls page push buttons on my hotas, then get into a mission i then have control of the plane.

Once i have done this it is not necessary to go back to the controls page on subsequent missions.

Thanks for the input on the matter jackdaw. Seems like it was another problem.

 

I found my error: i have a slider-switch on my X56 HOTAS. It was activated and it seems like this knocked out my controls. So i have to apologise for giving ED the fault while it was my own :music_whistling:

My controls are also broken, I have rebound everything multiple times. I've deleted the inputs folder completely and did a repair. But my pitch and roll axis are still not functioning correctly on any DCS aircraft, other flight sims work fine, and windows game control shows the axis working correctly.

One of the most common causes for axis problems is multiple bindings. Can you double check that no other controller and no other axis is bound to the flight control axes? Throttle sliders, Xbox controllers, racing wheels etc. all tend to get mapped to pitch, roll, yaw, thrust and so on.

 

Also, a DCS repair is a good way to start clean, but you might also want to delete (or rename) Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\{ModuleName} to make sure there are no leftovers.

 

Finally, if you don't have Force Feedback Controllers, make sure to deactivate FFB in the game's options.

in 2.5.5.31917 the FC3 planes lack of default shortcuts for Next waypoint, engines start, engines stop. All working with joystick keys, but not on the default keyboard shortcuts. The defaults are assignable manually in adjust controls.

I've had good luck with opening the adjust control menu and clicking ok so far.

with the hornet I can not release weapons (button 2) on warthog stick and none of the buttons work on the throttle other than tdc

No keyboards binds are working on M2000 and you cannot bind them either
