@ Update

Here we go.. An update

Added some stuff to the engines and fixed the nose problem. The skin was close to being finished but then when I tested it, it wouldn't work properly on my computer, but it worked on Yeniceri's, but his shader was causing problems aswell.

Anyhow, 15k Polys. is that a good figure? Im not very experienced with game modeling, or modeling in general.

I just learn from the best ;)

Looks good, got any pictures of the real 737 though? i.e. the one you modelled it upon.

the reason I'm asking is because the engines look a bit odd, but the fact the rest of the plane looks great (espcially considering it was only a few months back you were asking how to start modelling in the first place) says to me that maybe the engines are meant to be that way. Are the engines old low bypass engines?

EDIT: I'm wrong, your model is how it should be :D

You're modelling the -200 i.e. this plane: http://www.aerolloyd.com/img/Boeing%20737-200.jpg

Whereas I assumed you would be modelling a 737 I'm more used to seeing IRL such as this: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/jetliner/b737/b737_05.jpg Note the engines are short and fat on this version that's what confused me

nice, its beginning to look like a real 737. Can't wait to blow it up haha.

LMAO :D I cant wait either :)

@ Yeniceri

Why do they call me Sp0nge? thats like my universal forum name

@ EscCtrl

Even though the engines are sort of what they should look like, they're still pretty poorly modeled lol :S

But yeah im modeling the 737-200 :)

Would be great to see it on your very nice model!

I don't get it..

What about that do you want to see on my very nice model :)

Update:

Skin is finished but it won't work on my computer for some unknown reason. I think it still needs a bit of fixing up. The windows look unrealistic as I didn't make them 'canopyGlass' rather just a picture from the skin. So yeah..

Also Yeniceri said he'd attempt to teach me basic animation soon, so thats a bonus

That may be a question for Walmis or one of the better/older modelers. Im 14 years old, not enough experience to work those cool things out yet :)

If you find out, let me know please, i want to boolean some windows and tint them a darker black

its pretty hard to explain.

but once u know, you're set.

It also depends on what version of max you're using, if its 7, I can help, 8, not a chance with me.

I feel like a learjet or another big plane after this.

Maybe one of the ones SKF mention in post #2

The good news is, the skin looks basically finished, that just leaves animation.

The bad news is, I CANT GET THE SKIN TO WORK..properly.. So just have to wait
