TheCamper Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Hello, I do not know if this is the right place to report bugs, but when trying to get into the catapult a message appears saying that I'm not close to any catapult, can anyone tell me what to do? [DCS: F-5E BRASIL] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
johnv2pt0 Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 The actual hookup position is far forward of the shuttle. Just keep slowly rolling forward until it will let you hook in.

Hello, I tested on all four CVN-74 catapults and did what you suggested, but to no avail. [DCS: F-5E BRASIL] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Robert31178 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Camper, I just did a hop off of Stennis last week with two Scooters and two Tomcats. the nosewheel will be WELL forward of the shuttle for cat launches. I don't recall what the button press is for this, but you can bring up a script window that shows you how far you need to taxi in meters, and also whether you're left / right of the shuttle. If anyone can recall what the button combo is for the info feel free to weigh in. I only used it that one time, but it works beautifully. My fav part is if you accidentally taxi past the shuttle you can relax the throttle and the jet will back up :-) ~Rob
JagHond Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Just pressing the 'u' key, as for Tomcats and Hornets, maybe? With best regards.
Nero.ger Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 the position in the OPs picture is correct. Points of failure: * Stennis (only works with stennis) has more then one waypoint * Speed is not the same for waypoint and spawnpoint the default for Hookin attempt is LAlt+1 'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.
Nealius Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 This doesn't work for me either since the recent Open Beta updates. Worked fine before. Stennis alone, only one waypoint, constant speed. Refuses to hook up no matter where I am positioned.
TheCamper Posted May 1, 2019 Author Posted May 1, 2019 Just pressing the 'u' key, as for Tomcats and Hornets, maybe? With best regards. I try this too ;x [DCS: F-5E BRASIL] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
heclak Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I try this too ;x I just tested the catapult logic and it works fine in the latest beta. The key command is LAlt + 1. Make sure you're using the latest version of the A-4E. If in doubt, delete the entire A-4E-C folder and install a fresh copy. You MUST NOT overwrite the file, it will guarantee problems as it doesn't delete the old files. If you think your mission is set up correctly, you can send it to me to test.
