if memory serves me correctly, this file is not available anymore since it was encrypted a few months ago. Back then quite some files were encripted, but not completely sure anymore if the callsigns were.

One of the main advantages SRS still has is, that if somebody is on his laptop using lotatc, he can command the others without having dcs running on the system, that is the most vital part lacking in the builtin voip in my opinion.

Flight Model & Avionics Predicament
dSAF Dancer replied to Roger Hedrick's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
if you want to start into coding an external flight model you have to study quite deep into equations of motion and fluid dynamics as far as I know and you need to learn to code in c++, so if you want to start going in that direction thats where you have to start studying. Then you need to get access to wind tunnel data or alternatively CFD data for the aircraft you want to model. If you have all these basics then you can start looking into other open source flight models like the one of the a-4 that was already linked above -

I think they are still calculated, at least their collision objects are. If you delete a hangar per trigger and place something on top of it, it stays on top of the invisible hangar. I really also hope for better performance, especially as some people have struggles with high end pc's. But for the people expecting to continue to run dcs on the same settings with aging hardware, this won't happen due to the advancements of the game. If your computer can't upgrade there is a simple solution that really hurts. When 2.5 came around I couldn't run it (back then I could barely run 1.5), so I had to go back to 1.2 version of dcs. That was because I was playing on my mother s laptop that was a hot potato. I still am a Student and am lowering my settings slowly as dcs progresses but I think it is unreasonable to expect a game that gets developped to new graphical standards all the time to be able to run on old hardware, so worst case you have to stay on an older version of dcs. The amazing thing with dcs is, that at least last time I tested multiplayer versions as late as 1.2 were working when the other player also installed 1.2 -

I really also hope for improvements and optimisations, but why are you calling bs on us flying 4 ship all evening long? We had different systems (one or two people flat screen, rest vr) I myselfe fly in vr, with a 1080ti, a ryzen 5 2600 and only 16gb ram and had quite good performance, so it is not just raw power but probably some settings or configurations that play together with some hardware configurations that lead to really bad performance for some and quite okay performance for others -

Well I have to say, I'm sorry for everybody that has huge fps problems, but for many apparently it isn't really a problem. We flew 4 ship hornets today all over the map and none of us had really any problems (we however all had lowered our settings previousely for flying missions on syria). So especially as it is a free map, I'm still happy that it has been released for those of us who can already use it and hopefully for the rest it gets optimized soon. -
In the newsletter they said it would be due to people cheating in online servers with enhanced missiles

No LSO waveoff light control in VR & AI ignores wave off lights
dSAF Dancer replied to BMGZ06's topic in Bugs and Problems
So to sum up this, we have waited a year for the promised waveoff lights and now we can't even use them in vr with the mouse? I have the blue cross but can't reach the buttons and can't test with controllers as I don't have them. -

Place Aircraft units on road to start cold/dark?
dSAF Dancer replied to Tj1376's topic in Mission Editor
See this link for instructions how to do it. -
I know this thread is a bit older, but there is a workaround. There is a invisible farp and it removes scenery objects in a small radius around it. You can place multiple of them to remove stuff in multiplayer. Disadvantage is, that you can't contact the airfields anymore because the farps clutter the frequency list.

Scenery Remove Objects Zone (not working in multiplayer)
dSAF Dancer replied to SspectrumM's topic in Mission Editor
I just want to bump this thread, as this problem has been in existance for years and not been fixed. We are a swiss community and are rebuilding our airbases with custom buildings and stuff. In Singleplayer, with this trigger you can remove all hangars and trees, but it is only visible to the server, not to the clients. Our workaround at the moment is to place hzundreds of invisible helipads as they remove the objects too, but this creates problems when refueling and with contacting atc as there are hundreds of farps in your radio list. This is one example where it would be extremely useful to have this feature. -

As a swiss, I would love such a map.

If you have to press another seperate button it is even less realistic than not having to press a button at all, as the idea behind it is, that you push down the hat of the tdc and then move it.

Moving skins - Disconnect ''Pure Client Required''
dSAF Dancer replied to Furiz's topic in DCS Modding
yes, only user files go into the saved games folder, if you put the others there the game will detect that you changed your game files and fail IC. It would also start downloading all the skins in every update.
