Is it possible to remove the F10 map view for spectators in MP servers?

Forgot which one, but a well known server gives you a basically useless F10 map which shows nothing on it, no BLUE no RED, you can't even see yourself... nav under that situation is quite real but a bit too challenging for me......

There’s a problem in one of the servers I play on that uses Combined Arms where you can see all unit waypoints (even enemy ones) when you swap slots. I was hoping that disabling spectator view of the F10 map would help, but idk

1 or 2 of most used servers (forgot which of the 2, one was Buddyspike) show no F10 map

I am interested in this posibility of removing spectators F10 map. Not players but spectators.

Have anyone figured out how to do so?

The Cold War 1947 - 1991 server does exactly what you're looking for.

 

 

This is how I do it:

 

- In the mission editor, hit "set mission options" in the left tools column.

- A window opens up on the right side of the screen.

- Look for the third option "F10 View Options".

- Check it and select "Map Only".

- Once you're done, save, then exit the game and open the mission's .miz file.

- Open the options file using e.g. C++

- Make sure the view options are set to "false".

- Make sure the option ["F2_view_effects"] has the value 1.

- Save and exit.

- That's it.

those option in "miscellaneous"

 

["f5_nearest_ac"] = false,

["f11_free_camera"] = true,

["F2_view_effects"] = 1,

["f10_awacs"] = false,

 

Or those ones in "difficulty"

["optionsView"] = "false",

["spectatorExternalViews"] = true,
