Beamscanner Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 In regards to the recent Hornet update, can ED expound on the work being done on the EW page?
Buckeye Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Fingers crossed that it’s related to fixing the errors in the current way it works, at least as much as able (given restrictions) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Rig: SimLab P1X Chassis | Tianhang Base PRO + Tianhang F-16 Grip w/ OTTO Buttons | Custom Throttletek F/A-18C Throttle w/ Hall Sensors + OTTO switches and buttons | Slaw Device RX Viper Pedals w/ Damper Tactile: G-Belt | 2x BK LFE + 1x BK Concert | 2x TST-429 | 1x BST-300EX | 2x BST-1 | 6x 40W Exciters | 2x NX3000D | 2x EPQ304 PC/VR: Somnium VR1 Visionary | 4090 | 12700K
Wizard_03 Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Hopefully we can set up programs w WOW and not have a bit caution from it when you land. DCS F/A-18C :sorcerer:
EcceHomo Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 I would like to clarify a question about the PDI of AIM-7 and its display on EW. From some data, we can know that the missile illumination logic is compatible PRF with burst ranging, stop signal, and then switch to PDI. Of course, if you just enter PDI without launching a missile, there will be occasional ranging, and the missile will no longer be ranging after launching. So how should EW be displayed with respect to AIM-7?
Silvern Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 In regards to the recent Hornet update, can ED expound on the work being done on the EW page? Maybe it means corrected amount of countermeasures? This bug has been acknowledged by Wags himself. Would be awesome to have 60/60 flares & chaff. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3787079&postcount=25

dawgie79 Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Weight on Wheels, a safety measure that disables some systems when there's weight on the wheels. Ah oki. Thanks! :) Although I thought that can also be done when the mission data/airplane options function is implemented. Either way this would be welcome so we can setup our EW page and Dispenser on the ground.
Ahmed Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Ideally they would re-visit the wording on the publicly available documentation and check for missinterpretations, but as it says "EW page" only, I guess it is more related to the programming whilst on the ground, or other specific EW page stuff.
Santi871 Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 (edited) In today's update, the search radar symbology was fixed on the HUD (now shows S correctly), the SAM modifier symbology in the EW page was fixed (used to be off centre), the EWR symbol in EW page was removed and replaced with S + SAM modifier, and the SAM sites identifiers were fixed (ie shows "2" instead of "FF"). MSI was also partially implemented such that the top 4 RWR tracks are shown on the radar display. No other MSI features were added today. Haven't found any other changes. Edit: correction, looks like all SAM search radars (early warning or not) now appear as "S". https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/389682719300517889/586351723233280030/unknown.png Credit to Quaggles for the screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/trZlHUZ Edited June 7, 2019 by Santi871
Beamscanner Posted June 7, 2019 Author Posted June 7, 2019 Did they fix the movement of the RWR symbols while turning? One of the bugs is that the symbols dont move if you turn. they only relocate once the emitter is re-detected. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3895048&postcount=11

At least for now.
