Fonz_408 Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 So today I thought id time how long it takes to start up and have jester say "ready to taxi" time was 5min30sec using weapon ready mode for him aka option 5 on his wheel.. is there anyway we can speed this up? Vs the hornet which takes me 2mins. Also Jester is bloody shit in multiplayer and will drop a lock of a fighter at 30nm thats not even jinking and is nose on 12oclock.. Heatblur needs to look at this i think. Acer Predator 500 Laptop i7 8750 @ 3.9MHz /16GB DD4 / GTX1070 / 256 SSD Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3FtEcJlj_34i3IVqx6pE_w?view_as=subscriber
QuiGon Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Vs the hornet which takes me 2mins. The Hornet has no INS alignment implemented yet. Once it has it will take considerably longer to start her up. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
backspace340 Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 If you use stored heading alignment, it takes 2 minutes to fully align. Lots of multiplayer servers use that setting (DDCS & GAW off the top of my head).
Extranajero Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Just be thankful you aren't flying a Mirage.... Jester is pretty crap but AFAIK it's the first time that any developer has tried to implement something like him ( see ? I'm calling it 'him' - bloody hell....) Things will only get better and I don't think anyone has got any doubts about HB's commitment to the quality of their modules. --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe

HB has bitten into a huge soup sandwich trying to code a RIO, and what they've done is hugely impressive. It only gets better from here.

pimp Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Has anyone been able to do a successful ramp start alignment on the carrier lately? Within the last month or so, I cannot do a successful alignment because of the deck sliding. The alignment starts in ASW, but then it turns to HS and just stays there. I go to the RIO seat and switch to CAINS but it switches back off automatically. Besides zeroing the speed of the carrier, is there any other way to do an alignment with the deck sliding issue?
