Xthedarkknight99x Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Recently I been experiencing what i feel is an insane amount of ghosting. At first I thought I was crazy and but when I move my head everything blurs so much its abnormal. I didn't experience this with the rift s in Iracing or dcs until very recently. Things I have done to trouble shoot the issue. Install dcs on my primary SSD. Vs being on my secondary SSD. Turn graphic settings way down. This seems like the only time It doesnt happen but the picture is so blurry its hard to tell. Reformatted and reinstalled windows. Full up to date. No anti virus installed yet. Tried it with and with out MSI after burner made no difference at all. I tried with the oulus debugging tool and without. Turning asw off made no difference either. Chrome, Firefox, Oculus and DCS are installed. making this a pretty bare setup. now for the specs. Intel I7 8700k Stock speeds right now. Usually overclocked to 4.8 under a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. 32gigs of DDR 4 3200 memory Rtx 2080ti gaming x trio. Overclocked and non overclocked. x2 500 gig samsung evo 840s Msi z370 motherboard. Ive tried it in 3.1 ports 3.0 ports and everything in between. I for the life of me can't figure out why its behaving this way. The oldest part in this computer is the powersupply. However it seems to muscle through everything just fine. Big screen looks fine. So really I am not sure whats going on. Usually when I put this much detail into a post I dont get much help. So I hope there is some guidance out there.
Eaglewings Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 I am not sure this would help much beside sharing my experience. O+ user here. Sometimes ago, serious ghosting was prevalent only in the night when you move your head while looking at an object outside the cockpit. Didn't do anything but after a patch update from dcs, the ghosting was gone for me. Have yet to do any night mission since last update to see if ghosting is back. Xthedarkknight99x Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Yeah, the ghosting is present for me when just looking at cockpit items. I haven't really done anything at night so this is mostly sunny clear sky's situations.
