Repair shouldn't delete skins. You have them in root folder or in saved games?

Repair should not remove extra files, only re-download modified game files from the ED servers. Cleanup, on the other hand, will aboslutely kill every single thing that isn't vanilla DCS in in root folder if you give it permission to.

Perhaps you ran the latter instead of the former?

All custom liveries should go into /Saved Games/dcs.openbeta/Liveries/MODULENAME

Sorry if you lost your files! That sucks big time.

if you saved them in the root game folder there should be a folder called

_backup.#

all custom liveries should be in the saved games folder

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

As mentioned above you should use your saved games folder for liveries, then DCS will ignore them when doing repairs

a repair should create a backup folder in dcs root location so they should be there.
