Sometimes when I fly with new F-15 against this new MiG-21 I got 1 fps only.

That's happen only when I'm in the F-15 but when I'm in an another plane (without F-15 in a mission) e.g. Su-27 or in the MiG-21 everything runs well with normal fps. Do you know what's wrong?:cry:

 

Flying F-15 is wrong!:P

 

Just kidding, but FPS drop is obviously caused by F-15 so you should ask Walmis!

you should know that LO has lots of bugs, but i think that the question you mentioned above, 90% related to skin problem with both .BMP and .DDS formats, i'm sure that some skin mods (which i downloaded) will never work well, its really have probs with FPS that many times make you can't approach some targets (with hi-res skin changed) at distance of 1500m or shorter (game suddenly slow down to 1fps steadily) but i don't know what they're

 

Or in other case, you have at least 2 skins for just one plane with the same number (01, 03...) installed but different in format (one in .BMP, the other in .DDS, ModMan don't have enough the intelligence at this) installed into the game, they have conflict (or some "special" skin that you just add to the list, do not install), they'll slow down the FPS in general, LO may runs at just 1 fps in popular camera angle - F1/ cockpit view mode. The expression of this situation is it takes longer time to load game.

 

Yeah, I know AI planes has a bug of that sort but I don't know how to patch it.

 

Beside air-speed, the game has maybe a bug (or bugs) with the ceiling of air-interceptors, especially under human control.

 

Eg: i've ever some times broken the maximum ceiling of the Su-30 (Su-27 mod), i reached the altitude of 24,000 metres at over 1000kmph while the ceiling of the Su-27 is 18,000m in MEInit, i swear.

When AI controls example MiG21 it flys (flies?) normal real speed. When human controls speed is growth to huge example 1600 km\h

 

Speed of 1600 km/h is Vne for clean Fishbed at sea level, but MiG-21 bis (Fishbed-L) is able to reach 2230 km/h (clean) with R-25-300 engine at altitude of 11000m.

I think the skin is 2048*2048 px have little problem with some PC which have less memory , you can try to minish the skin to 1024*1024 px I think it will be much more better .

I upload the psd files to the http://www.lockonfiles.com/ you can download when they checkup it , I think it will be soon .

The psd is not very well . If you is good at photoshop , maybe you can improve it .

so 1GB RAM = skin 1024*1024 pixels and shoud have at least 2GB of RAM for hi-res 2048x ??? :cry:

i would ask you too to design a russian mig 21bis or mf model based on your work and give it to the community, you are very familiar with the work on your mig-21 and you have the know how.

 

a lot of peole here and lock on fans would be very pleased to have russian mig-21bis for the flanke/lock on family after all these years without these beautiful bird which would be fantastic matching the spirit and era of lomac.

 

for myself - i m dreaming of having the powerful mig-21 bis in this game. . . and play cold war. :-)

 

when I am not very busy , I will do it . The realy life is more important than the game .

u are so right, the real life is the life we live in. dont stress you, but when you have the time, the passion and the drive and motivation it would be great to see the mig 21bis-version based on your perfect work one day. :-)

I have all good, maybe you have something wrong. Oryginal skins work good, also my repainted new skins work good (Red and gray).

Anyone know how to remove the Chinese markings, would like to do some work on a Pakistan/Indian version but cannot work out how to remove the default markings.
