sobe
I am just learning Joystick Gremlin and could not figure out if it was possible to code both the up and down strokes on the EAC and RDR ALTM switches (a press and a release response) and the middle position on the 3 way AP switch? Supmua
I am just learning Joystick Gremlin and could not figure out if it was possible to code both the up and down strokes on the EAC and RDR ALTM switches (a press and a release response) and the middle position on the 3 way AP switch? You can but it is somewhat complex as the current version has no detection of the release state of a switch. You need to use macro to help with that. This is the only negative aspect of joystick gremlin for me. https://github.com/WhiteMagic/JoystickGremlin/issues/76 A much easier way is to use RS Mapper (found in user download area here), which can do that directly without use of macro. However, it doesn't have any axis functionality if that is also what you are looking for. Edited August 28, 2019 by Supmua PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti. aniron
You can use conditions to bind different virtual buttons or keystrokes to press and release of physical buttons. https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/interface/#3_3

Try it yourself with release and see. Edited August 28, 2019 by Supmua PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti. SVgamer72
There is a TARGET script posted on these forums that maps all the button positions on the TM Throttle. I love J-Gremlin, but it isn't the only solution.., https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=226594
Razi
I currently have ON-OFF and ON-OFF-ON toggle switches and use Joystick Gremlin for them. Below are pictures of the macros and conditions that I needed to get the OFF state to trigger an action. Hope this helps. 1

sobe
Razi I finally got JG to work with vjoy. Could you expand on your examples a little. The program is a bit confusing. Also, if I only want some keys using JG and the rest of the keys using the in game profile in the command list, how do I not activate the unused keys in JG? Ant0ine
I am just learning Joystick Gremlin and could not figure out if it was possible to code both the up and down strokes on the EAC and RDR ALTM switches (a press and a release response) and the middle position on the 3 way AP switch? Here is an exemple for an On-Off Switch : https://imgur.com/a/optuZUu It is my IL2 profile in which we only have one binding to toggle altimeter mode, if you have two in DCS, then it would be better to map two different DX button to each altimeter option to avoid desynchronization. On my IL2 profile, for the altimeter binding, when I move the switch Gremlin press and hold a Vjoy button during 500ms, that allow me to move the switch one more time without the game seeing it. This way I can resynch the physical/virtual switch easily. Here is another exemple for a 3 way switch, On-Off-On : https://imgur.com/a/96Hifh7 When the switch isn't up nor down, then it send a Vjoy button. Edit : Razi [...] Also, if I only want some keys using JG and the rest of the keys using the in game profile in the command list, how do I not activate the unused keys in JG? Simply don't remap every physical input to the Vjoy. In other word, only use JG when you need to : in my On-Off-On exemple you see I only use a single Vjoy button, for the middle (Off) position. The up and down position I simply map the physical device buttons (Warthog throttle in my case). Here is another exemple with a On-Off switch : https://imgur.com/a/T7y4gwx Same logic. LeCuvier
Seems that you figured it out, that'sgood. Personally I have edited the "default.lua" in order to get both ON and OFF from maintained switches like EAC and RDR ALTM, so I don't need any external software.
