Hi All,

1. Can I set the high/low alarm altitudes.

3. Can I adjust the warning siren volume in the Pit.

4. Set my keys for the frame counter, but can't see in on screen. Where should It be?

Cant see anything in the manual for these.

Thanks

1 - the low altitude is your radar altimeter, not really an alarm. Nothing for high altitude

2- there are volume buttons in the cockpit but I have not changed, and are you referring to the radar altimeter sound?

3- the frame rate will be in the upper left corner

There is also a second altitude warning system, which is what triggers the "Altitude, altitude" audio cue. It can be set by going to HSI > DATA > A/C > WARN ALT BARO. It defaults to 5000 ft. It looks like there is also one for the radar altimeter that is set with HSI > DATA > A/C > WARN ALT RADAR. So there are a total of 3 altitude warnings you can set up - the barometric verbal warning, the radar verbal warning, and the radar beep warning.

And for the OP's #3 question (that is labeled as your #4 question :smilewink: ) : RCtrl+Pause/Break will open the in game information display, which will show your FPS along with a few other bits of information, pressing RCtrl+Pause/Breakagain will show much more information about what is currently going on within DCS' software/game. Pressing RCtrl+Pause/Break a third time will remove them from you view.

Cheers,

Don

thanks for the help.

BARO WARN ALT working as expected.

RADAR WARN ALT not working. (cant be changed).

Still the siren is blarning below 500R. Tried lowering all volume knobs but no change. Makes low level flying very annoying. Can do a reset of the ALT from the option select button each time I go below the threshold, which removes the sound, until I do steep turn, and it looses radar reading, or climb over the threshold, then starts again. Could turn down the cockpit sounds, but not a good solution. Hard to believe it could not be modulated in the real f18.

Turn the knob on the radar altimeter to select a height lower than what you want to fly at.

Radar Warn Alt only can be set when airborne.
