MB-339 and A-4 need to be made into official 3rd Party

It would be awesome to be able to fly these against other players who do not have the mod.

 

The mods could still be available here for free to those wanting to only fly it for single player, but a multiplayer version could be made available to ED to include in the main game.

Making them into official modules will require a lot of additional work and licensing. It's not just a simple issue of switching out a LUA file and bam done.

 

In the case of the A-4, they have directly stated they don't want to do that.

 

There is nothing stopping server owners from including them now except the laziness of people unwilling to spend 60 seconds downloading and installing them complaining about having to do so.

This is why I wish ED had some sort of auto-download system for missing mods when it comes to MP servers. Games like Garry's Mod have this where if you don't own it, it simply downloads it and then you have it on your PC, so now you could join that server and others with that same content.

They need to become Full Modules so they can have access to radio, and for the A-4 this means air refueling for instance. Advance or professional FM... but yeah it would mean a LOT of work.

I would love to see these aircraft added as ai by ED, because if the mod is called exactly the same as the ai in the dcs database, it works exactly the same as with any module at the moment, so it can be used on the server, everybody can join and if you want to fly it, you need to download it (tested if this works with another mod and it works)
