And Russia always act surprised when someone consider it a threat :doh: They should force them to land, confiscate the bombers and send the crews back to Russia on foot only in briefs.

We've (the West) has done it for ever, over international waters it's no 'threat'. It's just cold war style posturing and excercises, they probably wanted a peak at a shiny new Typhoon, saw it was a boring F3 and went home.

As far as I know, this isn't the first time they've done it since strategic aviation patrols were back on tracks, there's absolutely nothing new about it.

 

Just an excuse to keep the traditions going :P

Indeed, it happens much more often than many realise. It just doesn't appear in the news all that often.

 

It happens a few times, then all goes quiet (while the RuAF save up for some more fuel ;)), and then the cycle repeats.

And this kind of respect is a completely different type of thing as to whether there is anything new with a russian aircraft manufacturer getting to make a tender for an american military equipment procurement.

 

now your taking what i said out of context. does your web browser filter out the word 'legacy'? ive said it a couple times...yes our engineers develop good aircraft. BUT...its like saying the us invented the v2 rocket, even though the technology is german. case in point Wernher von Braun.

oh , seems you were talking of the VBCI maybe , on the VBCI they are tear stuff . shock absorbers are better protected on the Stryker but the guy at the machine gun is better protected on the VBCI
