Not weathered, just the angle of the shot. That block 50 top coat just looks like that from some angles

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

No, the national air guard flies them with more austere care. They also inherit older hardware from the regular air force. I got a screen saver of a national guard F-16 with very dirty look. Corrosion signs in some places and lots of dirt on drain areas. I guess they also might make just minimal recommended maintenance instead of doing more to them look pretty (most users wants them tidy).

That is how the aircraft looks when there is no cameras around. We work very hard to ensure if there are cameras around the aircraft looks clean. The ANG and USAF Res maintain their aircraft to the same level we do. Sometimes we do not expect or we are not informed of the presence of photographers so we do not have a chance to clean the aircraft. We mainly clean the aircraft for corrosion control and prevention, but we are after all a Government agency and we owe the tax payers the effort to present the aircraft on their best.

The aircraft photo posted here is from a block 50 with a different pain coat than normal F-16, that is why they have that appearance.

I hope this makes since.

P.S.

Any chance you can post what the screen saver photo?

Or maybe it is going to get a new paint job; isn't that an old f-16? I saw an f16 with the same paintjob on a magazine from 1986.I'm not an f-16 expert so plz enlightme.

Here you go, you can see grease coming from leading edge rotary actuator, streaks from fuel panels on the back bone and scratches caused by the boom.

I see the CWAM has been established by a group of Poles with some former mechanics working on the actual aircrafts (Mi-24, MiG-23, others?).

A-10C Aerial Refueling training

A KC-135 Stratotanker from the 117th Air Refueling Squadron, based out of Forbes Field, Kan., refuels an A-10C Thunderbolt II from the 355th Fighter Wing in the Tombstone Military Operating Area in Southern Arizona April 27. The crew and KC-135 supported refueling missions throughout the week so students enrolled in the A-10C Pilot Initial Qualification course could accomplish their first-ever air-to-air refueling.
