4 x Harriers at RAF Mildenhall last Sunday. Who would have thought?

4 landed and 4 formation take off.

AV-8Bs are from USS Wasp, heading for Baltops. They visited Mildenhall, onroute to Sweden.

For those interested in the development of military jets (British) have a look at BBC Four. Two episodes of 'Cold War, Hot Jets'.

I never knew that British pilots flew US spy planes over Russia during the Cold War. Or that the MiG-15 only became possible because of British engine supplies.
