I have a couple of devices connected that DCS sees. but I have no intention of using them with the sim, Razer Tartarus Game Pad and XBox controller for example.

I've also noted that when I'm in VR, there is a phantom controller that has appeared (presumably the Vive controllers connected to my Pimax headset).

Is there any way of blacklisting these controllers so that they do not appear in the controller's section?

Not that I know of, but you can select its column and click "CLEAR CATEGORY" to wipe out all default assignments for that controller.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

For your Tartarus :

Since I started using Windows 10 my computer will not go into sleep mode and my screen saver mode will not come on.

This happens due to a compatibility issues between Joystick devices and Windows 10. To avoid this please disable the game controller device under Device Manager >> Human Interface Device >> HID-compliant Game Controller. However, do note that when you disable the game controller, you might lose virtual joystick related features in Synapse.

The one I have to turn off is named 'USB Input Device'. I use Tartarus V2.

To blacklist controller (Joystick, throttle.. All direct input device I think), or rather to whitelist them in fact, I use HID Guardian via WhiteKnight.

No idea how to hide the Xbox Controller.

Why not just disconnect them when in DCS if they are not being used at the time?

In response to you guys, and thanks for posting, I do use a profile in USBDeview to disable the controllers I don’t need, but it would be much cleaner of I could just tick a box in DCS or in a config file to say “ignore xyz” controller.

The USBDeview profiles became a necessity because Il-2 will only recognise 8 USB devices, and with all of the stuff I have plugged into my cockpit for racing, driving and space sims, I have a lot more than that, and physically unplugging them simply is not an option.

I noticed when you unplug a usb device and plug it back in, it will appear on the right side of the control setup page (your screenshot). iirc this order will be saved, so when you restart DCS you will have your main controllers on the left side.

Not exactly gone, but at least you won't have to scroll to the right constantly.

+1 Would be nice to have an option to 'Ignore Controller'.

Noting the procedure by Sirrah to re-arrange them (useful, cheers), it would also be nice to just be able to drag and drop the order of the controllers using the header bar at the top for each column.

Get one or more of these. Is what I use along with everything plugged into the computer. It has it's own power supply, and each usb has its own power button.

Right there with you Highwayman...

I also regularly run into the 8 axes limit. There's 9 on the X65F. It's hwy the mini-stick doesn't work without some "tweaking".
