WelshZeCorgi Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Does anyone know how to get the framerates to smooth out? I just bought a used CV1 and I can't figure out how to get the frames to stop stuttering or hiccuping. It runs pretty smoothly for a few seconds before it drops to 15 frames or so, then returns to normal, this happens in all conditions, happens when I'm alone and clean in Caucasus (no AI assets) and when I'm looking at the controls menu with the game paused. So I can't tell if it's something I can even fix.
RedeyeStorm Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 I believe I had the same issue. In my case it was caused by DCS not using hyperthtreading and by default runs on one core only because of Turbo boost max. So disable hyperthreading in Bios, disable Turbo Boost Max by setting it to disabled in its menu (uninstall is not easily possible). Further I am using Project Lasso to force DCS to use the logic cores. Good luck.

I just bought a used CV1 and I can't figure out how to get the frames to stop stuttering or hiccuping. I also purchased a used CV1 and get about 30-45 fps .. what are your PC specs? I have an older PC with a fairly weak GTX-970 video card, but I do have 32 GB of RAM a reasonably fast CPU and DCS is on a SSD drive. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

WelshZeCorgi Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Ryzen 7 3800 32 GB ram Vega 64- 8 gb? Not sure. I can check later. Ssd for DCs. I feel like I have a setup decent enough for the CV1.
WelshZeCorgi Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Settings is just the vr quick option at the bottom of the graphic settings. Pd is 1.5
WindyTX Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Have you tried turning off ASW. If you can't maintain 45fps it can make a mess sometimes. WelshZeCorgi Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251377 This ended up helping me. Not perfect, but it definitely did stop the hiccup/stuttering every few seconds.
