Quick question. Regarding the GBU. Before once I set all the coords for PP Mode, I had to push the drop button once to drop a single bomb. Then I would select PP2 then click the drop button again to drop the second bomb. Today, ( 1st flight in a while ) I entered everything in and once in range I clicked the drop button and nothing happened. Master Arm was on etc... So thinking maybe a long press would drop the bomb. It did, but one long press and hold, dropped, not one, but two bombs at once. I only had 2 bombs on board, both JDAM's were on the same station. So is this a bug, or is there a new way to drop a single bomb.

Watching both bombs falling F6, they both hit the same target. Which makes sense, since they both dropped while PP1 was boxed.

So a bug?

Thanks for the updates. : )

It's always good to provide track.

Yes, but a track won't explain weather or not i am to depress the bomb release once as a quick tap or a long hold for release?. Long hold was the only way i could get the bomb's to drop like it was a ccrp, but wasn't.

QTY selection will affect release parameters. If you have more than one station selected, pressing the pickle button will kinda muck up the drop process, as the jet is thinking you want to drop more than one. My suggestion is that if you want to release a specific JDAM, use QTY selection to select the single station that has the PP target you intend to attack. If you're using a double-rack, each JDAM should drop with one press (just don't forget to switch the PP target for the second drop).

As Nikola said, a track can help diagnose if there's a bug in the logic or user error.

I will add a track. But yes, i had two bombs same rack. They were the only gbu's on board. Others were MAV's and ata. One depress of the button does nothing anymore. I'll grab a track and see what you think. Thanks for the andwers.

I press and hold the weapon release button for around 1 second, and will release a JDAM each time (unless I have not designated or input a target). Primarily use TOO mode on my side, but occasionally use PP mode. Not sure if I ever had just tapped the button, as with the Warthog HOTAS, the weapon release button (and others) require a firm depression, so always pressed and brief hold.

So I just threw together a test flight with the same load out, and now it's working. Who knows. Maybe the older Miz I was using had an issue.... Or it could be possible I was not holding the release button long enough. But I was able to make it work this time. Thank you as always for the answers. I was just stumped because I had updated DCS to current beta and I had that problem. So naturally I blamed it on the update instead of me lol.

Thanks you all!

Dave.
