GBU 32

On the Razbam website it lists the following;

 

Joint Direct Attack Munitions (GBU-38, GBU-32, and GBU-54)

 

So my question is with the introduction of JDAMS when is the GBU32 being released - not really bothered about the 54 however the 1000lb class weapon is very much needed!

IIRC in the pocket guide it states that the 32 was never actually used, just the 38 and 54 and we're not getting the 54. So we just get the 38 is the way I'm reading that.

The info is for the real aircraft and its capabilities. I will remove the 32 and 54 as i can see the confusion :thumbup:

 

 

The aircraft can carry the below as confirmed by pilot and ground crew of the USMC, as a note they train with the -54

 

GBU-38: Mk-82, which exists in game

GBU-32: Mk-83, does not exist in game but can be carried in RL.

GBU-54: JDAM with terminal laser guidance, used against moving vehicles. Does not exist in game but used in real life

Thanks Razbam for the reply - i know the GBU32 doesn't currently exist in game but it really would be a great asset.

 

Can we not introduce this to DCS world as it really should be part of the strike options?

Yeah, I'm kind of confused as to why other module developers are able to create their own weapons but you guys aren't.

 

Are you just waiting for the F/A-18 to get it? If so, that makes enough sense for me right now.

That would be my guess. I assume its used on the Viper and Hornet, so when they get it so will the harrier.

I guess what I'm getting at is removing it from the product page might be jumping the gun a bit then, if it's still a planned feature and just isn't here yet.

Just FYI - That 1st picture you quoted as 54's are 38's

So RAZBAM and/or ED are not making the GBU-32 and -54?

 

The GBU-38 and -32 are GPS guided only? but the -54 is laser guided only, so kind of like the GBU-12, but with the JDAM kit for longer flying time?

 

Kind of on a side-note, none of the Mk-82 based munitions are based on the BLU-111, -126, -129, which are fragmentation bombs?

GBU-32 has present into DCS EDM directory but not implemented, GBU-54 has not develop yet by ED.

GBU-32 Planned to add to the F/A-18C Lot 20 and F-16CM with the GBU-38, but not date yet.

It should also be planned for the Harrier, one on point of principle as it was listed as a point of sale but also as the GBU32 are carried by Harriers when required.

Seems really silly to have this functionality for only WOW, given that it replicates to some extent a JTAC element sending the 9 line through to the aircraft.

 

Would be a huge drop in potential not to have the ability to F10 mark and import whilst airborne so if the dev's are reading this please can you comment on thoughts / roadmap.
