[REPORTED] AG target will appear on SA page if engaged

Hi,

 

Note that ground targets attacked by allied DL capable aircraft appear on the SA page and A-A radar.

 

First post:

1. F/A-18 lot 20 on a SEAD assignment attacking an enemy radar site. The moment the AI is committed to the target- it appear on the SA page and A-A radar.

BTW

i've checked with F18 attacking a ship- and the it's the same issue.

Every AG target that the AI will engage- will appear on SA page and A-A radar

I noticed it as well. Occurs for the F-16 HSD page too. I think it started happening around the time DL was introduced to the F-16's HSD or around the time the JF-17 released, I'm not sure. The JF-17 is also supposed to show ground targets on DL, although I don't know what system enables this.

JF-17 too shows ground targets, directly from AWACS.

afaik no playable dcs aircraft has the interface for publishing ground targets into datalink implemented. so it just works automagically.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. And our AWACS (at least the E-2C, E-3A) shouldn't be able to detect ground targets, at least to my knowledge. That's what something like JSTARS is for.
