razo+r Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 I've already had several occasions when the FPM is above the artificial horizon yet my aircraft does not climb. Or another case when the FPM is at the artificial horizon, yet my aircraft is descending. Inaccuracy of a system or a bug?
razo+r Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Or maybe the artificial horizon is a bit offset:
AeriaGloria Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 The second one is probably just HUD offset during crosswind Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
razo+r Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) The second one is probably just HUD offset during crosswind If the artificial horizon is getting offset by wind then something is off by quite a bit. Edited December 28, 2019 by razo+r
J20Stronk Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 The FPM looks correct, but the pitch ladder and artificial horizon are definitely offset down a bit. Also I'd like to add that the ADL cross is NOT indicative of the nose position and is offset down as well. For example, if you pitch up to align the ADL with the 10* pitch bar, the F2 view will say 11*. The 'Real' nose position is right below the heading tape and can be found by using the caged PL-5 seeker
uboats Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) FPM inaccuracies? how long have you flew? if a bit long, then there's cumulative error for ATT gyros Edited December 29, 2019 by uboats [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
razo+r Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 how long have you flew? if a bit long, then there's cumulative error for ATT gyros The first pic was from a longer flight, the second one probably too. Is there a way to recage/center/align the ATT gyros in flight?
Tiger-II Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 It happens right after takeoff, too. FPM lock is a bit weird, too. It should just set the X value to zero (no wind correction) but it seems it is fighting with itself and jitters. foxwxl Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) It seems that the FPM works fine on my side. No problem with the artificial horizon & FPM, VVI is indicating the correct climb or decent. Edited December 30, 2019 by foxwxl Deka Ironwork Tester Team
