fitness88 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Does anyone else get this on their Oculus home page? This occurs as you move your mouse up and down the menu on the left side of the page. Thank you. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=224428&stc=1&d=1578233865
Bearskin Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 (edited) I had it with, oculus, my Logitech software and blizzard, anything that is dark grey. I updated to the latest 441.66 drivers and it fixed it, so it seemed to be a problem with the NVidia driver. avidflyer Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I have same but I think I have the latest Nvidia driver and oculus software. I have these graphic „issues“ for 1 or 2 month but it doesn’t hurt.
fitness88 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Thanks all for the feedback! I currently have 441.12 drivers and have had this issue through many different driver updates. I've been 100% stutter free since installing a 2T SSD for my gaming so I'm a little reluctant to doing any changes.
Lange_666 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Never seen it, i have 441.12 drivers installed atm. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!
fitness88 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 It's weird, I contacted Oculus and they don't have a clue. As mentioned this occurs only as you move your mouse up and down the menu on the left side of the page, once you move the mouse back to the main page on the right side of the window the fuzziness disappears.
Bearskin Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Have you got image sharpening turned on in NVidia control panel ? if so try turning it off. Z790, 13700K, RTX4080, 32 gig RAM, Warthog, WarBRD base , Virpil Pedals, Pico 4
Revs Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I got same thing on Steam VR settings, so it must be NVidea driver Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8GHz / 32GB( 4x8 ) @ 3.2GHz / 1TB ADATA NVMe System Drive / 232GB NVMe Samsung 960 / ASUS dual RTX 2080ti / Reverb / Rift CV1 / T-16000M FCS flight pack A10C/M2000C/F5E/SA342/Mi8/UH1H/KA50/AJS-37/FA-18C/AV-8B/F-14/Mig29/CA/SU-27
fitness88 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 I got same thing on Steam VR settings, so it must be NVidea driver I've had this issue though several driver changes. Does it happen to you in the exact same manner I described?
fitness88 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Have you got image sharpening turned on in NVidia control panel ? if so try turning it off. Yes I do, next time I experience this issue I'll try turning it off, did it help you?
Revs Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I have my sharpening on too. I’ll try it off tomorrow Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8GHz / 32GB( 4x8 ) @ 3.2GHz / 1TB ADATA NVMe System Drive / 232GB NVMe Samsung 960 / ASUS dual RTX 2080ti / Reverb / Rift CV1 / T-16000M FCS flight pack A10C/M2000C/F5E/SA342/Mi8/UH1H/KA50/AJS-37/FA-18C/AV-8B/F-14/Mig29/CA/SU-27
Bearskin Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Yes I do, next time I experience this issue I'll try turning it off, did it help you? I wrote in my first reply that switching to 441.66 drivers stopped the graphical anomalies but then I remembered I had enabled image sharpening in NVidia control panel on my previous driver. I checked NVidia control panel last night and Image sharpening wasn't enabled on this driver. So either switching drivers or not enabling Image sharpening, one or the other must have fixed it for me. Have you seen any positive affect from turning on sharpening using VR in DCS?
Bearskin Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) TBH mate, none, I didn't even know it was not enabled until I checked. I did enable image sharpening last night, opened up the software that gave me the same problem as you are having, but everything was fine, (I didn't reboot my machine so it might not have taken effect) so maybe only the 441.12 drivers had this problem. fitness88 Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Confirmed, it's caused by the sharpening turned on in the NVidia control panel.
