[REPORTED]Incorrect airbase IDs from airbase:getID() in 2.5.6

If I grab an airbase object by name or even just loop through coalition airbases, I'm getting IDs in the 5000000's. This doesn't seem to match up with what is on the map and if I use these IDs to spawn any planes in parking locations, they spawn about 20ft in the air, fall and crash.

 

If I go through the mission editor, and try to attempt the same thing, the mission file has the correct IDs for the airdrome. I tried on both Caucasus and the Persian Gulf.

 

Here's some example code for the Caucasus Map:

local test = Airbase.getByName("Krasnodar-Center")
env.info(test:getID())

 

Prints this to the logs:

INFO    SCRIPTING: 5000004

(Should be 13)

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

I hope this is prioritised, it's destroyed missions on NTTR. Planes are spawning in N Las Vegas when they should be coming from Pahute Mesa, TTR=Tonopah etc. it's quite widely impacting. We've tried ot compensate for the last few days but now deem it unfixable, so it's the same questions everyday form people asking why this is happening.

It would be really nice to see this issue got fixed which has been introduced unfortunately with open beta 2.5.6. It makes a lot of trouble while scripting missions - very simple til complex ones.

So does this mean the current version of moose (256) should work when the next OB drops...or are you going to have to modify Moose undo what was done to make it functional for the last 3 weeks?

This! We needed include some temporary workarounds (aka dirty hacks) to make it work with the buggy DCS 2.5.6 version. That needs to be undone.
