Meikel Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I do not understand why in these game no Eurofighter or Tonado exists. Do you know if there is something in develop or in proces? I am appologice if my English is to bad it is not one of my talants. Thank you if you can give me an answere of my questions.
Mars Exulte Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Tornado is ingame as an AI unit. Eurofighter is not in at all. Neither are flyable because... there are thousands of aircraft in the world, and obviously not every single one of them (including somebody's personal favorite) can possibly be available. For reference, these are not simple 3d models loosely based on an aircraft. It takes 3 to 5 years for a team to complete one aircraft. So, there's only going to be a few in the game compared to what exists in the world. Also, availability of information on an aircraft (often affected by politics, economics, and security) affect the likelihood of a particular plane being selected for a module. Also... why did you post this in the F-18 forum? :P Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
Meikel Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 Thank you for giving me an answere. I am new and I do not regognice that I am posting in a Forum for F 18. I know it is taking a long time to produce one aircraft, but the same question I have some years ago as I was intrest in DCS worlds and I think actually their is some in proces the community knows. But again thank you for your fast answere and my apologice to post these in these Forum.
Zius Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 I do not understand why in these game no Eurofighter or Tonado exists. Two reasons: 1) Like Zhukov said: there are too many interesting aircraft which deserve to be in DCS but simply haven't been made yet. The Tornado is definately one of them and there are a lot of people who really want it, so maybe it'll be done somewhere in the future. 2) DCS is a simulation which attempts to be very close to reality. To do this, you need detailed data, manuals, systems drawings etc. You have to think about DCS like re-building the actual aircraft, but inside a simulation. To do this, you need to have access to such data. For modern aircraft, like the Eurofighter, Rafale, Gripen, F-35 etc. etc., this data simply isn't public, so these aircraft unfortunately can't be modelled in DCS. Modules: Bf 109, C-101, CE-II, F-5, Gazelle, Huey, Ka-50, Mi-8, MiG-15, MiG-19, MiG-21, Albatros, Viggen, Mirage 2000, Hornet, Yak-52, FC3
Keith_GadgetUK Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 You can have both of these (Mods), but AI flights only.
Xilon_x Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 the eurofighter and in production there are only these images https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/screenshots/572/ as for the PANAVIA TORNADO no news no programmer has committed to this project that many SIMMERS in DCS have been waiting for years.

If you do not understand why then you have obviously not done enough research to understand how modules are developed for DCS. But I will explain in simple steps. 1. Data - All necessary data of the flight model, and other systems is needed to develop an aircraft module of this caliber. 2. Classification status - The aircraft sensitive systems like the radar and weapons systems have to be declassified to an extent. 3 License -A license must be obtained from the original aircraft manufacturer to have the permission to sell an official module under the full models name. Having a license also grants access to the necessary data to develop a module.

What Tranche/Nationality can we expect? We are in constant communication with the “NETMA” and our licensor “Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH” in order to bring you the most current version of the Eurofighter possible, without violating classified information. I know a lot of you are eager to get information on the version we are bringing to DCS. I am sorry, that at this stage we won't be able to answer any questions concerning the tranche, software or block. Rest assured that once we can say more, we will! As you might already have guessed from the published pictures and our company’s German background, we will create a German version of the Eurofighter Typhoon to start out. This version will only make the introduction to DCS as we will continue to bring more and more nationalities and capabilities to you over time. By “NETMA” (The NATO Eurofighter 2000 and Tornado Management Agency), that can be a good exponent to build a Tornado module on a future.
