+1. Also, AFAIK, the circle represents a frag radius and the pilot can manually enable it and select its radius from within the TGP menu. I don't know if it's a feature of the Litening pod we have, though.

The documents we are working from for FLIR do not have the coordinates, compass marker, and the ring.

Our hornet will not be getting these additions.

Thanks

Hog has it, Harrier has it, the hornets in the video have it. But alas its not up to me to make decisions for ED, at least there are some good images here of what it should look like if they do ever decide to BRU-55 it.

BRU-55 is used by our F-18, so its not something unrealistic.

As i Know DCS hornet is a 2005 Hornet

I found some shots prior 2005

here you go VFA-105 2004 CRUISE , we can clearly see The coordinates on the FLIR PAGE (ATFLIR)

This one from VFA-34 2004

from vfa-34 also 2004 cruise where you can see the circle (LASER INHIBIT CUE) and coordinates time to impact (TTI) and the Azimuth Steering Cue

VFA-201 OIF 2003 (even The F/A-18As had these options back in 2003)

VFA-27 (Legacy hornets) in 2006

THANKS

Good finds med-taha, it does look pretty undeniable that the ATFLIR at least had such coordinates in the correct time frame. It would certainly be interesting if we can find out if Litening had the same. If not then 'ATFLIR When?' ;)

I have photos of the litening (USMC) I will look for them . if I remember correctly, the compass option was available too, a former hornet pilot told me that the compass was essential for CAS missions

As I understand it VFA are using Nitehawk pods, not litening.

Thanks

It looks weird that compass and coordinates can't be shown, since it's synthetically produced in the pod and injected into Hornet's screen as TV signal, it doesn't have anything to do with Hornet MC OFP

IN 2003 it was the ATFLIR, if you swipe the videos back and forward you can see that it's an ATFLIR

The ATFLIR we are getting in DCS is far more advanced than the Nitehawk, so i don't see why this options are not gonna be implemented

and talking about the litening i posted some pics from USMC cruise back in 2003 video F/A-18D armed with litening pod where we can see the compass and the coordinates
