Hellenic Vipers

Greetings everyone

 

with the release of the official template by ED, I would like to inform anyone that may be interested that I have developed a series of Hellenic liveries as I had done earlier for other aircraft.

 

This was a 14-day endeavor that produced 23 liveries, all based on the Hellenic Ghost Camouflage Pattern.

10 are active duty liveries, including the recently (2011) disbanded Jason Squadron and 13 are liveries that were created to celebrate special occasions.

There are more Hellenic liveries that I would love to develop but unfortunately they fit on other type of vipers than the one we have today (April 2020) in DCS.

 

I will try to maintain these liveries playable as time permits.

Information Research results

 

The following are the data based on which the liveries were created:

The HAF is using the same camo scheme for all it's vipers that is called Ghost

The scheme uses the following federal standard colors:

For the camo scheme: FS35237, FS36251, FS36307

For the radome: FS36320

For the pylons and droptanks: FS36375

For the leading edges of vertical and horizontal stabilizers: FS-36270

For the stencils: FS26081

For Interior compartments: FS35630

For warning markings: FS32356 & FS23617

Template analysis is finished. That went faster than I anticipated!

I never liked it while painting, when the base color texture is split into more that one psd, but when it comes to analysis, it really helps.

 

Onward with the painting now, wip screenies inbound.

Day 3... nobody suspects anything!

I have canceled the default livery upload since I have found out that 336 Olympos Squadron does not have any insignia on its tail so I will use the default livery for that squadron instead.

 

I have just uploaded the first 2 squadron liveries and am waiting for moderation...
