Does Updating stable version delete mods?

Hello all,

 

Can someone tell me if i update to the latest stable release do all my mods, device profiles, English cockpit mods, downloaded missions, have to be reinstalled or do they remain in the folders i put them in.

Hi

 

Any unofficial mod should be in your saved games location and the install wont touch those.

 

If you have an unofficial mods that are in the root of DCS it is best to remove them before updating DCS

Always use a mod manager like OvGME to install your mods. Then, all you do is disable them before any updates to DCS, and enable them again after. This process takes seconds to complete.

Hello ED, it's been almost 4 months since the last stable update...

On the 12 of April a small Hotfix-Patch came updating to 2.5.5.41371,

not an update to 2.6 stable....

Thanks for all the reply's. I have now installed OvGME to install and manage my mods, its working great.
