Hi guys,

I'm trying to do the CCIP training mission (DCS last OB build) and I'm having troubles at the beginning when instructor asks to press Weapons System CMD Forward to display the CCIP pipper, nothing happens, no pipper displayed :cry::cry:

I have master arm on, fuse is on Inst. (french cockpit), altimeter radar is On, bombs selected and TAS too... Did I miss anything ?!

If I remember well it worked on stable, then I switched to OB 2 days ago and now I can't drop CCIP bombs as I have no pipper on HUD :helpsmilie:

Any help would be really great !!

Thanks beforehand !!

It worked alright for me yesterday. Since you have TAS selected, is your radar (not the altimeter) emitting?

Didn't check if my radar was emitting, do I have to put it on standby mode for CCIP ?!

I'll check later and see if it works, thanks for helping !!

Retested with radar on standby or radar activated but both didn't work, gonna check in NTTR training or in a normal mission, hope it'll work again !!

EDIT : just tested in NTTR Training mission, same problem, seems like HUD won't go into AG mode...

And everything is set correct, radar emitting, etc...

other thing I noticed : when I press CNM Magic, Magic is selected on HUD but I see no little "s" on PCA...

Should I try to repair my installation ?! Or should I switch back to stable one ?! I'm a bit annoyed with those problems I can't go through a single training mission :cry::cry: :helpsmilie:

Any help much appreciated

Hey, did you press the Weapons System Command? Check p.31 of manual and on. Also, remember about Radar altimeter too.

Like I said, radar altimeter is on, Weapon System Command Forward pressed, bombs selected on PCA, master arm on, TAS Selected, quantity set and fuse on Inst (NSTL or nose / tail) and nothing changes on HUD and I still see the current Waypoint on HUD whereas I should check it on HSI no ?!

Well I don't know what to do, and what I can check again... I just repaired my installation with DCS updater but nothing was broken :cry::cry:

I'll try again tomorrow and I'll advise (I have no SSD it takes 10 minutes to load a single mission so I really hope it'll work !!)

Thanks anyway for trying to help,

regards,

Silly remark but who knows ?

- set PPA any time you want, no factor (NB at least 1 and fuze)

- select BF on PCA

- select options (ranging) on top line. Primary mode is TAS (radar ranging with RDI).

Then 2 options:

- return to NAV with Weapon SystemCMD AFT.

- go into attack mode with Weapon SystemCMD FWD.

- Master arm on.

Merci Jojo !!

I'll try that to, as you said ! who knows :)

If it doesn't work I really don't know what I'll do, switching again to stable will take too much time and effort

Well, did a last try : tested what you said Jojo, tested even way way more but there's no f***ing way to have the CCIP or AG indication on HUD.

I still have current WPT appearing on HUD, checked my keymap for Weap Sys CMD Fwd, key map on HOTAS is okay, tested with keyboard shortcut just in case but same thing :cry::cry:

When I press weap SYS CMD aft, PCA top line goes back to RDO / POL / TAF / LEN / RAP but when I press Weap SYS CMD fwd nothing happens :cry_2: :cry_2:

So now I uninstalled the module and hoping it'll work again better after redownloading and reinstalling it but I really have no hope :badmood:

So now I'm wondering is there a fast way to switch back to stable DCS version please ?! Maybe using the DCS Updater Utility made by community ?!

Any additional help welcome of course !! I'd love to fly my Mirage, now that I know how to cold start it, use weapons, use AP, etc etc...

If I don't find any solution today I'll fly the Hornet for the free month we are given and then I'll switch to the Viper I always loved sooooo much...

But I love my Mirage too so please :helpsmilie::)

Thanks to all mates that tried to help, that's really nice from you guys !!

Have fun and fly safe !

Looks like you have CNM Canon selected from PCA line you describe, hence the fact you dont get AG symbology on the HUD.

CNM Magic and CNM Canon are override modes.

Make sure you have selected CNM Neutral which will then take PCA selection into account, and display AG Attack mode on the HUD when WSC fwd is pressed.

Posted (edited)

Trop what you say, the PCA top line is in AA gun mode.

This override any other mode.

I don't know why you would be in AA gun mode in AG tutorial, but you must do CNM Neutral before returning to AG :smilewink:

I'm sorry to say that but I'm CNM neutral, and already tried to switch from CNM Magic to Neutral to see if it changed anything after that's when I saw that pressing CNM Magic doesn't select Magic on PCA (little "s" under) like it used to... Already mentionned that 1-2 posts before...

I think I already tried anything I could with HOTAS controls... but thanks anyway for trying mates :)

Can't find an issue, perhaps share at track where you try to use CCIP.

The only error in the training mission I see, is that bomb quantity = 00 used equal 1 bomb released, now you need to select at least 1.

Another pitfall is "Weap SYS CMD fwd" without A2G ordinance selected on the PCA (i.e. BF1), will put you in A2A mode and you'll need to use "Weap SYS CMD depress" to exit back to Nav mode.

I attach a short track you can view or take control of to confirm your install is good.

So now I'm wondering is there a fast way to switch back to stable DCS version please ?!

On "DCS Standalone" you can use the command line from the DCS bin directory

• DCS_updater.exe update 2.5.5.41371@release

or in powershell

• .\DCS_updater.exe update 2.5.5.41371@release

to switch to the release branch.

See SkateZilla's "DCS Updater Usage" thread for more detail

Maybe using the DCS Updater Utility made by community ?!

The DCS Updater Utility has the same features but TBH I find it a little complicated when managing 2 legacy builds (I'm always afraid one of the builds will be accidentally updated to 2.5.6, etc.), YMMV.

Thanks a lot Ramsay,

I'll use the commands you gave me to regress from OB to stable release if I really need.

To clarify, I have the issue in any mission I try to CCIP (training, self made missions, etc...) and I tried to set differents quantities to release...

In fact, when I press release, bombs will fall but I can't see AG mode on HUD

I'm donwloading the M-2000C again, I hope after deleting and reinstalling it will work again :)

When It's downloaded I'll try the track you provided :)

Ok, I tested the track you sent me Ramsay and on the track it worked well, so I took commands and I had the problem again

But In fact I decided to try without loaded profile on my X52 and tested with assigned buttons directly in DCS commands and it worked !! So it appears I'm having problems with my X52 profile !!

I'd like to thank soooo much ppl that helped me, I wouldn't have found the problem without you guys !!

Now I have to find how to fix it but at least I know it works

So thanks again very much pals, I'm really glad you helped :thumbup::thumbup:

...

Now I have to find how to fix it

I found for some OS and driver versions, SST macros required a 20-25ms delay between keystrokes if the macro/keystroke was to work reliably.

Luckily, the SST software can be ignored for most DCS modules as the X52 Pro has enough buttons by it's self.

I advise ignoring the SST software and setting up your controls in game.

OTOH if you must (or prefer) use the profiler, this is how I *used* to setup the A-10C's TMS, etc. using advanced macros and the SST software.

VLH6hSq.png

... as you'll note, not all keystrokes are effected, so I mostly did complicated stuff like this for TMS, DMS, map cursors, etc. YMMV.

Yup, good to know indeed ^^

For now I'm flying with a mix of DCS and SST commands ;) Now that it works again I just want to fly :D I 'll configure that a bit better with a software like Tempo so I can modify action wether I do a long or short press (like for A-10C btw :)). Anyway thanks again sooooo much for your track, that's thanks to it that I could find what the problem was :)

Fly safe pilot !
