mytai01 Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I've noticed that there are flight control checks being performed before taxi that I can't figure out how to do. This video link shows the F-16 raising TEF, and lowering the LEF. Neither of these things can be done in DCS: F-16C. Am I missing something, or is that feature still WIP? Tholozor Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Pretty sure that's the FLCS BIT, don't think we have it implemented yet. Stubbies2003 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 (edited) Pretty sure that's the FLCS BIT, don't think we have it implemented yet. Definitely FLCS BIT check. The only direct control the pilot has over the LEFs is the auto/lock function. Only locked out when there is an error in the system which is pretty rare. Otherwise they schedule automatically and that was the FLCS BIT testing them out. The easy way to see what is BIT and what is pilot commanded is that during the FLCS BIT check the CC out front was only standing at attention. After the BIT was done and the pilot was commanding surface positions was when the CC put his arms out and move his hands to communicate to the pilot what was going on. MadCat1381 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Nice video. Is it just me or are the control surfaces moving way faster IRL then they do in DCS at the moment, when moved by pilot input?
RuskyV Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Nice video. Is it just me or are the control surfaces moving way faster IRL then they do in DCS at the moment, when moved by pilot input? I have noticed this myself and I wonder if it actually has an effect on the flight model?
MadCat1381 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I have noticed this myself and I wonder if it actually has an effect on the flight model? That would explain the weird unresponsive feeling in landing gains to some degree.
Deano87 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 That would explain the weird unresponsive feeling in landing gains to some degree. Not really. The unresponsiveness in landing gains is because of this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251163 Proud owner of: PointCTRL VR : Finger Trackers for VR -- Real Simulator : FSSB R3L Force Sensing Stick. -- Deltasim : Force Sensor WH Slew Upgrade -- Mach3Ti Ring : Real Flown Mach 3 SR-71 Titanium, made into an amazing ring.
