kengou Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Is there an axis bind for both wheel brakes together? I can only see wheel brake left and wheel brake right, as well as a button bind for both wheel brakes, but no axis. Maybe I’m missing it? Sorry, I am joking. You need to steer with differntial braking in this module. That's why we don't have the option as it serves no purpose. I had a hard time finding the nose wheel steering myself. I have VKB rudder pedals that don’t have toe brakes. I use a modifier for differential brakes and on every other module in the game I use another axis for both wheel brakes together. Wondering why C-101 is missing that axis assignment. Vibora Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Of course we can add it, but: You can't steer the C-101 bellow 40 kts without differential braking. It's definitely something arcade and would confuse some users, thinking they are doing something wrong or there's something buggy or missing. Even some users get confused now, so adding this feature would confuse people even more. Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I would appreciate adding it, just because the only way I can brake the aircraft on landing or taxiing is with a button. Plenty of other modules only have differential braking as well, like the Spitfire or MiG-15 or MiG-21 and all of them have an axis for both wheel brakes in addition to each wheel brakes individually. I don’t see how it would be a problem of confusion specifically to the C-101. I don’t see any one confused about these other aircraft. Edit: also not sure if I’m communicating what I’m looking for. I don’t want anything unrealistic or anything related to steering. Just the ability to apply both brakes the same time using an axis, in addition to the current button option. Vibora Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 OK, I guess we'll have to join the arcade club :) Solved. In fact we had it already done for keyboard with W key. Check next update. Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

No idea why this would be considered arcade, the W key is more arcade than an axis in my opinion. But in any event, I really appreciate you adding it and being so quickly responsive! I wish more developers were this way. Tom Kazansky Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I confirm, W key was already there and we added the axis. Cool. Thanks a lot. I actually joined this thread to support the wish for an axis for both brakes together but you guys at AvioDev seem to be the fastest devs ever. Are there any other modules for DCS you are working on? Caus I like your style. btw: I won't give back the C-101 after the free trial and you are one of the reasons for that. Good job!

More comparable modules would be say the Bf109 and A-10C which use toe brakes and have both individual brake axes and an overall brake axis available to map.
