Hi, we have this issue with AKG-missiles in server-TacView files currently (so far every TacView file from BlueFlag server that I checked has this issue):

in server-TacView files the AKGs turn around to the JF-17 spawn-location (directly after launch) and impacts the ground there, while they actually flew to my waypoint (30), in MAN mode.

I reached out to the TacView programmer and he said after looking at it closely, he believes this is a bug in the JF-17 (or DCS?), the missile data is wrong, and he recommended me to report this here.

Example TacView-file (select "JF-17 Thunder (Viper-P 4 | DanielNL)" and watch AKG launch): https://ufile.io/7vf5y3bv

Deka, are you investigating? Would be great to see them correctly in TacView very soon! :)

Seems to be a tacview issue and the person you turned to is trying to pass the buck. if it doesn't behave the way you describe it in game and only in tacview, then it is most certainly a tacview issue.

Has Tacview even been updated with AKG ?

I trust the person behind the official TacView Twitter account to be a proficient programmer... :P

i seriously doubt tacview would somehow magically implement the guidance logic of the missile so that it slowly turns towards a point on map... tacview merely asks the game for location and speed of all game entities, thats all.

I never suggested Tacview does such thing.

Tacview almost certainly does not have the most up to date missile information for the AKG. The current Tacview version is almost 3 months old.

These things happen with Tacview. Give it some time and they will update it.

No there is a lot more to it than that.

client weapon position updates should be sent to server automaticlly by DCS core, it's not the job of modules.

we have no comments on this, it seems a dcs problem.

yes, thanks for your reply!

In our PvP server we found out that the player in JTAC slot also sees the AKG flying somewhere totally else on F10 map. The crazy thing is, I cannot reproduce in singleplayer... Reported this to ED, with huge multiplayer-trackfile (175 MB) :/

Why do you keep bringing this up? Deka already said that it wasn't an issue on their end so I don't know what you expect them to do.

Because it's been over 7 months and I don't mind who's end this issue is on, it's Deka staff's responsibility to make use of their relation to ED-staff and to get ED to fix it asap, that's what I expect, it's been broken since release (afaik), over half a year ago, and TacView-export is a core feature of DCS that all us JF-17 buyers paid for

Wait, you are seriously whining about your spending money because one type of ordnance isn't displayed correctly in a 3rd party program? Wow. Whenever I thought the entitlement issues of DCS players has reached a limit someone easily knocks down that goalpost.

Yes, and for all we know ED might be fully focussing on Mi-24 and R-73-capable Ka-50-update instead, and it could take another 3-6 months for them to finish SLAM scheme... 😒 (I wish ED would tell us what they're working on right now. On the other hand, we've not seen another Mi-24 video in almost 6 months iirc, maybe Mi-24-development stopped due to some Mi-24 secrecy-reason? That would be awful.)
