The MFG Crosswind toebrake springs are a bit to stiff to my taste, even on lowest spring stiffness setting. Milan doesn't offer less stiff toebrake springs on his website though so i'm looking for a 3th party solution. Docter Google didn't came up with much so i'll ask around here. Any idea's?

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

i've not needed to adjust any angles on my Crosswinds, but have you tried either making the pedals more upright or maybe just moving the pedals closer to you, to make them easier to press?

Good luck with the search if you do need to get new springs.

if you find a good set please post details about them, I too feel they are too stiff even at lowest settings

Yeah, i tried that because i thought the more vertical they stood, the easier it would be to press them forward but that's not the case. So i put them at a 30° angle right now which was better and...put the feetplates even more forward, just locked with one screw. That's even better although that's not an ideal solution. The biggest reason why i want to apply less force is that my chair rolls back when i press them due to the counterpresure (blocking the chair is not an option).

I know you say blocking the chair is not an option, but i have done this with a couple of bits of old carpet (with a non-slip mat cut off glued underneath) which I wedge behind a couple of the wheels while flying. Works a treat

I've had that too and ended up with a loop of strong cord, around my wheelstand and one of the wheels of my chair.

I was a bit surprised to find that none of the gaming chairs i looked at had wheel brakes, but i might have missed one.

Some do, but often as addons you have to buy separately

I position my chair just before putting headset on to where the wheels are sitting at a right angle to the orientation of the chair. That negates the chair moving back on me.

In market for a gaming chair, and hopefully it will have lockable wheels.

It is easy to replace the standard wheels on a chair. There are many inexpensive solutions on Amazon. I got ones that use Rollerblade wheels and lock, and they were like $20 and I replaced them in 3 minutes. And since they're big rubber wheels I only have to lock two of them and my chair is completely immovable when I'm in it.

Modules: Wright Flyer, Spruce Goose, Voyager 1

Yeah that is a good idea but would take away my excuse of needing a new nice gaming chair lol.

I will certainly keep in mind in case the one I get does not have locking wheels, thanks!

That's because "gaming" chairs are cheap office chairs, with neon trimmings, and the price tag multiplied with a factor of 2.5.

Which is mainly why I've stuck with my office chair. I might check out those lockable wheels though.

It was actually my racing wheel stand that I modified with the cord loop, as i must get a bit more excited on the brake pedal in a racing car than in an aircraft.

Try the end of a condom if it fits.

Doesn't work, i noticed the only one that was laying around here had a hole in it at the end. They say that ain't good...
