Morning All Modders out there.

 

Here's a link from the Grim reapers going over the SC Features. Not confirmed but I saw where it may be available for download May 20th with the latest update. Looking forward to the new DDG as well. Enjoy!!

 

 

Does anyone know if the DDG deploys torpedoes?

ED has not talk nothing about torpedoes on DDG-51 yet and none ASW torpedoe has added to DCS, meanwhile RIM-116 RAM, RIM-66, RIM-66M, RIM-156 Booster & Missile was added to the 2.5.6. Missing Sonar engine to make a "working" active / passive torpedo. For now the Dekka Type 093/III torpedoes work as "missiles" underwater. The same situation has pressent of lack any ASW torpedoes on helos and aircrafts.

U-Boats and the Ju-88 have unguided torpedos, although the U-Boat can only launch them on stationary targets so far.

Has 3 Schemes on ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Database\Weapons\schemes\torpedoes

- Unguided torpedo

- Unguided stabilized torpedo

- Guided torpedo

 

Deka Yu-6 torpedoes use Unguided and Guided, but not have a Sekker implemented. Has working only with a "autopilot".

Hey Silver,

 

Thanks for the info. I just kinda thought they would outfit the Burke to combat the new sub. I created a DDG and I wanted to add torpedoes to it but I can't get the script from the TYPE 093 to work. Maybe you can assist me with that. I noticed you created a torpedo boat. I can see you some photos of my projects if you have a private email i can send them too. Just send me a PM. Thanks.

I recomend take a look to the Type VII and S-150 Torpedo boat luas. On the DDG-51, ED has added animations on torpedo tubes and hatches, but for now, I dont see the propper "connectors" in that torpedo tubes in the modelviewer.

 

My Torpedo boat use a similar torpedo declaration of the S-150, you need define a connector by each torpedo tube (intent build the torpedo tube as a turret with animation). On the lua, make a declaration to use a "present" torpedo or intent build a ASW torpedo from scratch.
