Hi Guys,

flew a Case III night approach. I was pretty much on the numbers until about 2 NM out, when I realized I'm creeping up onto (and almost hit) the preceeding aircraft still in the groove. Sure enough, in the next moment the LSO waved me off, as he was supposed to.

Now, what I'm supposed to do after wave off? No re-sequencing, no instructions, whom to contact, nothing. If I say again inbound, he replys to my "Inbound" call as I was still inbound, but way out. Sorry if I'm missing something...

Later in early access they will add proper bolter procedures and messages.

For now you need to contact again carrier ATC for inbound and start back.

Correct procedures would be:

Gear up, flaps half, airspeed 150

Climb to angels 1.2

Call "(side number), airborne"

When cleared, turn left to the downwind heading

Fly 2 NM abeam the course line

Call "(side number), abeam, state (fuel state)" when abeam the ship

If told to intercept the FB at 4NM - dirty up immediately and start your turn

If told to intercept the FB at 6NM - dirty up halfway through the turn

If told to intercept the FB at 8NM or more - dirty up once on FB

Fly on-speed once you dirty up

Fly the rest of the procedure on the FB as normal.

Yes, final bearing. CASE III, everything is given in relation to Final Bearing, not BRC.
