imacken Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Yep, exactly the same for me. No change in recent updates either. Don’t know why this was merged into a VR thread by BN. Even the Normandy map was never as bad as this. dawgie79 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Okay, so, hadn't flown on this map since first release (been occupied with other modules), but yesterday I decided to try the newly released P-47D-40 to smash some trains with rockets. I'm not one who obsesses over fps, as long as I don't experience stuttering, it's fine. Unfortunately yesterday I couldn't fly for very long due to heavy stuttering in VR. Especially when I put my head on a swivel, then it became really severe up to the point I quit. I hope ED can sort this out in the next few updates. It's a gorgeous map, and the P-47, just a great machine. :)
ac5 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 This problem relates not only VR, the stuttering of the channel map is also with a 2-D monitor very bad, as bad or worse than Normandy used to be. I get in A L L other maps solid 60 FPS with my settings, and I have ALL of them, except Syria. I hope ED is watching this, in the current state the channel map is unplayable...... westr Posted October 20, 2020 Posted October 20, 2020 I’ve had an improvement with the latest patch with the channel map in VR. But I also updated my NVIDIA driver to the latest driver just before I tried it. So there’s a possibility that this has improved the situation. westr Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Strange I’ve definitely noticed an improvement, I’m maintaining 45fps in most situations with 2xmsaa I couldn’t get anywhere near that a month ago. If I add lots of units performance still goes through the floor though. speed-of-heat Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 That's true the channel map isn't optimised. imacken Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Same here. By far the worst - well, if you discount the SC! - performer in DCS. Both in VR and on monitor.
