Engine management question

First off, I’m loving the P-47! It’s absolutely fantastic and it’s giving me hours and hours of fun! My question is to do with the boost lever.

 

At what point after takeoff do you disconnect it from the throttle lever? I’m struggling to keep cylinder head temps in the required operational range and have to keep cowl flaps open at all times. Is it as a result of improper turbocharger use?

Do you have the intercooler and oil cooler open?

The temps seem to be off at the moment, usually you should be OK with leaving it interconnected.

As the store page says some things are early and work in progress this is what manual has to say. Also when you get high alt and high ambient temps should not have boost and throttle interconnected

Keep the boost lever interconnected until boost speed reaches 20.000rpm (up to 22.000 rpm for 15min), then you maintain the boost at 20.000rpm and advance only the throttle.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure when to disconnect it. Now all I want is a more pronounced start up sound with smoke and I’m in heaven haha!

There is no information in the manual.

WEP with water injection is not implemented yet.

It will be added during early access period.
