First off, thanks ED for this change to amraam, the community is pleased.

Just wanted to leave these videos of some fringe cases for your inspection so that you can decide if there is a bug here or these are "working-as-intended" scenarios.

First, an AV-8B goes into a full departure resulting in the defeat of an amraam.

Second, a Su-27 Cobras his way out of an amraam death.

Yup, I've seen that also both in SP and MP. Amraam missed just few feet from its target. Some people suspect it was because desync issue but I didnt think it was because it also happens in SP. Probably "normal" thing as WIP until we have proximity fuse implemented?

Note in harrier video it almost hit it after circling back. This are some very weird behaviour, doing 360 without any loss of Speed/energy. Makes me remember SAM missile chase in Behind enemy lines.

yeah missile knows where it is

What? Why? How? Do some think that AIM-120 has better radar and countermeasure resistance then F-15/F-18/F-16/F-14/Su-27/33/M-2000 radar. If radar can lose lock, Im sure aim-120B/C should do that much more then what we see in DCS ;),

yeah, the circling amraam phenomenon is certainly one of the weirder parts of these clips. My only theory is that once the missile is past the target the control surfaces are locking up in the config that they were at when they passed the target. If you look the arc scribed by the missile after the target, it is in plane with the endgame turn the missile was doing as it missed

So far I've only seen this 360 turn by the missiles in Tacview. To me it feels like a data export / desync bug, I could not observe such behavior ingame using F6 views. But I've only tested it a bit so I can't be sure.

So these 360s are more common with some missiles that others...
