truebrit Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 I've had DCS for 9 years and replays have never EVER worked. Is there going to be a fix, or does anyone have a work around for 2020? Mars Exulte Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 In my experience, games that do this kind of replay (like Total War : Rome 2) always have kind of a wonky experience. Because they're not ACTUAL recordings (which would be huge) they just record commands or movements in a general fashion and 're-simulate on the fly' the results... sometimes the results can be a little different. The only real alternative as far as I know would be a much more indepth recording method, which will cause the track files to balloon in size. If you really, really want it to be exact, use TacView or Fraps. Otherwise, you're just gonna have to suck it up. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2

Disk space is almost free these days. We should very well be ready to accept even 100-500 MiB replay files. It really shouldn't be difficult to make a replay system that sync the units position as GPS coordinates with the inputs. So if the both doesn't sync, then the aircraft is synced with controls to GPS position. So it would always be: Input Input Input Input + Location Input Input input input + Location i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
truebrit Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 I was gonna say that. In my experience, these playback facilities are a big part of the overall game package. Back when I ran a racing league everybody was uploaded their replays to Youtube. We all love to watch ourselves.:joystick: Has worked for racing sims for decades.
