ruxtmp Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 With only about 10% of the 180 reported AV-8 N/A bugs resolved I think the team has more pressing priorities, like rolling out early alpha versions of the F-15E and Mig-23 to keep the team funded for their next module development. :megalol:
Rudel_chw Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 I thought we would have had some by now. The Persian Gulf map has been out two years. You could take any A-10C or F/A-18C Instant Action mission, and easily replace the planes with Harriers .. even accounting for time to learn the basics of the Mission Editor it would take far far less than two years. I am really astonished that when flying the AV-8B the only bug I came across, lately, is the LMAV not guiding (which is acknowledged by both Razbam and ED and worked on) and some details with the BITS tests. There are a couple things still not implemented (e.g. LOFT mode, MGRS coordinates entry), but that's pretty much the same for the F/A-18C etc. I mean, if there really were 180+ bugs that are not fixed, I should at least run into a couple, occasionally when doing a sortie, with varying weapons? DimSim Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 If the 'team' is more than one person, they are capable of working on more than one thing at a time. The team would also not be intimidated by customer requests. They are capable of managing their time and priorities. Since there's no AV8 campaign yet, and few missions, the more playable content the better! From my limited use of Instant Action missions, AV8 and Huey (two aircraft I own) could really use some default tweaking to be more interesting and survivable. It appears the default settings merely throw a bunch of friendly and enemy vehicles into a chaotic melee. This doesn't suite the narrow design roles of the aircraft such as ground strike with full support for AV-8 and CSAR for Huey. Sure the user can customize or open the map editor, but the people who click Instant Action would like some 'instant' action.

I second this Converted and played several A-10C campaigns. Some missions required minor adjustments, but overall it worked out pretty well and was lots of fun Edit: Oh wait.. thought this was about AV8B missions in general, so I was talking about Caucasus campaigns. I think in general there's a lack of quality PG campaigns Edited July 12, 2020 by sirrah System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
