daemon1808 Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Hi, I have notice that AI aircrafts are able to use GBUs, and gide the bomb to the targets, even without been equiped with a TGP (av8, f18, etc).
Shadow KT Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Ughm, got a track or an example at least ? Might not be the case of what you are describing, but both LGBs and JDAMs do not require a pod on your own aircraft to be operated efficiently. 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
daemon1808 Posted July 28, 2020 Author Posted July 28, 2020 Ughm, got a track or an example at least ? Might not be the case of what you are describing, but both LGBs and JDAMs do not require a pod on your own aircraft to be operated efficiently. JDAMs are GPS guided, so no need of TGP. But, as far as I know, Laser Guided Bombs need someone paint the target with laser. You can paint yourself the target, but for that you need a TGP for many aircrafts (like the av8b) I have attached a track, where a harrier without TGP is able to guide a GBU12. Anyway, it is very easy to test it: just put an aircraft with a custom payload, set a ground target with a trigger and enjoy seen the GBU splashing the targed ^_^GBU bug.trk
Flappie Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) I can confirm the bug in current public version (2.5.6.52437): AI AV-8B is able to guide a GBU to its target without TGP nor buddy lasing. GBUs can be used in CCIP and CCRP mode without any laser: that's a fact. So I decided to move the vehicle away as soon as the GBU was launched in order to see if the GBU would fall on the vehicle initial spot (CCIP/CCRP mode) or directly onto the vehicle (laser tracking mode)... and it fell right into the vehicle. Track attached and video here: AV8B can guide GBU without TGP.trk Edited July 28, 2020 by Flappie ---
Flappie Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 This bug is still happening in lastest open beta (2.5.6.57530). See attached track in the previous post. ---
