Swift. Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 The slew speed for sweetening a designation made through the HUD is quite fast. It makes it nearly impossible to actually use this feature without 'jabbing' the TDC and hoping for the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUOrdzndY6Q&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=SwiftHUDdesslewbug.trk 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 21, 2020 ED Team Posted September 21, 2020 Hi Swift you can adjust the curves in axis controls to suit your desired slew speed. Thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Nealius Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 I implemented curves on the TDC axes as I experienced the same, and the HUD slewing is still so gross that fine targeting is impossible without a targeting pod.
Harker Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Same findings. HUD slewing is way faster than, say, Radar TDC, SA TDC and TPOD slewing. Some sort of scaling should be added, something like a 0.5 factor for slew speed. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. Nealius Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 It's almost like "faster" isn't the right word to describe it. It's....jumpy? Instead of smoothly moving across the HUD it will jump a few millimeters with a single tap.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 21, 2020 ED Team Posted September 21, 2020 I am not seeing it jumpy, feels ok to me. I have asked the teams opinion. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Swift. Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Yeah as others have said, the TDC is fine for all other formats. It's just the HUD designation that is too skittish 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
